A big part of Splinterlands season rewards and pack openings is the feeling the player has when new items/cards are revealed. There used to be a plague of season reward tech glitches that would interfere with the overall user experience. The Chaos Legion 12/8/21 release was the biggest initiative the team has completed, and a lot was on the line. With approximately 500,000 daily users, as well as recent NASDAQ and Bloomberg attention, it is clear that many important people would be watching how the Splinterlands team would respond to this challenge.
For me, I watched the Splinterlands YouTube livestream countdown leading up to the Chaos Legion release and everything went through without a hitch. The game interface was ready to go because about 30 minutes before the official launch a helpful popup appeared in the game reminding me to refresh my browser. At midnight my packs were available and there were no problems opening them. The experience was high quality, exciting, and flawless. At no point did I experience any tech glitches. I even rented out a new Chaos Legion card and my listing was instantly viewable when I checked it.
Generally, you only hear about the tech team when things go wrong within a game. I just thought I would put out a quick thank you and congratulations to the entire Splinterlands team, especially the developers and tech team for knocking it out of the park with the seamless release of Chaos Legion. Because of the performance of the systems all players surely enjoyed the release to the fullest potential. You guys are doing a great job and making history- Cheers!
