Hello Splinterlandians!
Today's post is about my daily quests for the last two days..
First Up, Life Splinter
Yesterday I got a Life quest. Having just had a Life quest the day before I knew that I probably would struggle to complete it with out several losses. So I took my chances and requested a new quest. All the time saying, "Not Death, Not Death, Not Death"
Death Splinter
Sure enough, it came up Death. Death is my worst splinter by far but I went ahead and started the quest. I'm not going to give you the gory details, but needless to say, it did not go well. I probably lost 15 times or more. It was ugly. Probably the worst quest day I'd ever had.
I went to bed that night wondering if I would ever get it finished, and if I didn't, would I be stuck on a Death quest for ever. Well like all things, this quest eventually ended. I woke up the next morning, and maybe it was the good nights sleep, but I managed to win 3 of the 4 next games I played to complete the quest.
And for all that work - a potion. Boo.
But this quest taught me two things. One, I need to improve my Death deck But more importantly, I have decided to never change my quest unless it comes up Death to start. Almost any time I have changed a non-death quest, it seems to come back as Death.
Another Day, Another Quest - Life
Today's quest was Life. Life isn't one of my best options, but it isn't too bad either. And for as hard as yesterday's quest was to win, todays was that easy. Five games, five wins.
And for a super easy day my reward, a decent Death Card -
Apparently the Quest gods agree that I need to improve my Death deck. LOL.
Thoughts on New Rules
I'm not sure what all has been changed in Splinerlands, but it is clear they have increased the chances to miss due to flying a whole lot. I had one game where my Goblin Mech missed he Phantasm card 6 times in a row even though he was only 1 Speed less than the Phantasm. It was crazy. What looked like an easy win when it came up ended up being a very frustrating loss. Of course when I use a flying monster they seem to be nothing but a punching bag, but that is probably just my imagination.
I think they need to tweak it back down a bit. Six misses in a row (doesn't even count the other monsters who also missed it) is just unacceptable.
Good Luck On Your Quests
Good luck to everyone today except for when you run across me!
