Lets Go Shopping
Just moments ago I was strolling Splinterlands in-game SHOP section looking for something to purchase when FOUNDATION packs caught my eye. Opening packs is fun but I have yet to open or purchase Foundation packs. I have purchased a MAX Foundation card or two from the market. Lets get those two firsts out of the way in one clean swoop. To get to the Foundation pack market follow these steps: Log in to Splinterlands > Hover over the shop icon > a drop-down menu will appear > select packs > you will be brought to a new section > select Foundations out of the available options > You are now on the correct page > fill the template out (double check the entered details) > (triple check the template details) pay with DEC or Credits > Boom you now added Foundation packs to your Splinterlands collection.
At the heart of the Splinterlands lies Praetoria, a continent of kingdoms and empires, sprawling plains and wild frontiers, and boundless mana and magic. It is a tapestry of cultures and environments, where humans, beastborn, fey, fiends, and more rub shoulders in markets, taverns, and the Arena Games. This is where your journey begins: a vibrant, diverse world teeming with life, power, conflict, and infinite possibilities. Lore taken from Splinterlands official site.
Looking at my Splinterlands alt account I have some credits to spend. At current time there are some Foundation packs listed for roughly 10 cents each. Some others listed for slightly above 10 cents. When purchasing with credits that amounts to 100 CREDITS per pack. If one wanted to use DEC that would amount to 356 DEC per pack. This specific market is a players market which means the DEC USD trade value calculations for the Foundation packs is based on DEC market conditions and not the $1/1000 DEC Splinterlands accepts DEC at. One should always consider all their options when making trades and purchases. Credits are valued at $1/1000 and are purchasable using the Credits wallet section (top of the splinterlands home-page). Minimum CREDIT purchase is $10 USD (Paypal is available for CREDIT purchases).
Once you finished filling out the trade template and finished paying for your packs with either DEC or CREDITS you will get a small popup that will say "Purchase Successful". To find your newly traded for packs head to the MANA WELL (Click the Open icon located at the top of the Splinterlands home-page to get to the mana well). It is in this section that you can see the amount of packs you have and also will be able to open as many packs as you own. To open your pack simply click on the pack and drag the pack to the MANA WELL and toss it inside. The mana well will do its thing and you'll have some cool looking graphics to look forward to as an introduction to the pack opening begins. The introduction is different for each set of packs. The flipping of the cards inside will also have a set graphic. There is an open multiple option next to each set of packs. It's the icon just below the plus sign next to each pack set.
As you can see in the above screenshot, once you click the open multiple feature a pop-up will appear. Select the amount of packs you want to open and click the open option. Some people like using this option when they are opening a large amount of packs. Not Rentmoney, opening packs one at a time is all apart of the fun; so that is what we will do. First we will need to cancel out of the open multiple screen (Done and Done). Next lets drag a pack into the mana well (Done and Done). Now its time for the fun part. Lets see what was inside our packs. Note: potions were not used in the opening of these packs. Packs came straight from the players trade market > Straight to the mana well > Straight into 's ever growing Splinterlands collection.
Pack One
Pack Two
Looks like the standard pack open (4 commons and 1 rare). We are happy with that. These 10 cent packs are just as fun to open as any other and that is the aim. Have fun interacting with Splinterlands and the Hive Blockchain. Do that and everything else will fit into place. If you take a look at the pack opening labeled Pack Two you will see some options. In the top corner of the screen there is a SKIP option. Clicking it after dragging the pack into the mana well will allow you to skip the intro. There is also a FLIP ALL option at the top of the screenshoted page above. Clicking it will flip over all five cards in the pack automatically. The other option is to click each card individually (Rentmoney's option of choice). Are you a collector of Foundation cards? What's your favorite one? Did you find some gold when opening Foundations packs? If so let us know all about in the comment section below.
What Is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a #play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Assets that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards/ more assets in a robust gaming economy. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link that will forgo any credit to me: https://splinterlands.com.
