Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing amazing and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
Today I wanted to do another card spotlight post and this time it is about Silverleaf Ranger. Honestly, this card feels kinda broken sometimes.
At first I ignored this unit because there are already many ranged Life cards in #Splinterlands. But after using Silverleaf Ranger in alot of ranked battles, I realized this card can become an absolute monster if it survives for few rounds.
Silverleaf Ranger is a Rare Life unit and at max level (Level 8) it gets access to 4 abilities which makes it both offensive and defensive at the same time.
The artwork of this card also looks amazing. The elf archer design really fits the Life splinter style and the abilities make the card feel very unique compared to other ranged attackers.

At level 8, Silverleaf Ranger has:
4 Ranged Damage
4 Speed
3 Armor
6 Health
Those are honestly very solid stats for a ranged card. The speed is good, damage is scary, and with healing abilities it becomes very annoying to kill.
𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟏: 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐲
Weary: At the beginning of round 1, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn.
This is probably the weirdest ability on the card.
At first, I honestly thought this ability was bad because your own unit can randomly skip turns. But after playing with it more, it actually creates alot of risky and fun situations.
Sometimes Silverleaf Ranger keeps attacking for many rounds without getting exhausted at all. Other times it gets tired early and ruins your plan.
So using this card always feels like gambling a little bit.
But the good thing is that when the card DOES keep attacking, it becomes insanely strong because of its other abilities.
𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟐: 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞
Double Strike: Attacks twice each turn.
Now this is where things become crazy.
4 ranged damage attacking TWO times per turn can absolutely destroy enemy units very fast.
If enemy armor is weak, Silverleaf Ranger melts through teams quickly. And if buffs are applied from summoners or support cards, the damage becomes even more scary.
I had battles where this card almost solo carried because Double Strike kept deleting enemies every round.
This is definitely the strongest part of the card in my opinion.
𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟑: 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥
Heal: Each round, restores 1/3 of max health.
This ability gives the card surprisingly good survivability.
Most ranged units are easy to kill once enemy Sneak or Opportunity units reach them. But Heal helps Silverleaf Ranger survive longer than expected.
And when a Double Strike unit keeps healing every round, it becomes super annoying for opponents.
I think Heal is one of the reasons this card works really good in longer battles.
𝐀𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟒: 𝐄𝐜𝐡𝐨
Echo: Active abilities trigger twice per round.
This is honestly one of the coolest abilities.
Since active abilities trigger twice, Heal becomes even stronger because it activates two times. That means Silverleaf Ranger can recover alot of health every round.
And combined with Double Strike, the card becomes a complete menace if left alive.
The synergy between Heal and Echo is actually insane.
I really like cards that combo abilities together and Silverleaf Ranger does that perfectly.
𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍
Overall, I think Silverleaf Ranger is one of the most fun Life cards to use right now.
The combination of:
Double Strike
Heal
Echo
makes this card extremely dangerous in longer battles.
Yes, the Weary ability can sometimes troll you but honestly that randomness also makes the card more exciting to use.
When everything works perfectly, Silverleaf Ranger feels like a machine gun that refuses to die.
I will definitely continue using this card more in ranked battles because it has huge carry potential.
Anyway thats it for today’s #splinterlands grind. More battles tomorrow and hopefully more crazy moments too. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
