Introduction
Hi! It's me , playing Splinterlands everyday!
By the writing of this post, there was just a few remaining hours before New Year, closing in 2023 as it opens into the year of 2024 which based on the Chinese calendar, was the year of the "Wood Dragon". And since it was the year of the Dragon, my topic for this post will be the Dragon cards of Rebellion.
Ohh.. By the way, if you were just starting to the game, you can go and scan my QR code to lead you directly to the game and start your play2earn journey with Splinterlands.

For a range card, Redwyrm Hatchling comes with Dodge that gives it 25% evasion chance and True Strike that makes the attack to not miss its target at level 1. As it reaches level 6, it gets Oppress which doubles the damage against non melee units. It was very slow with the speed of 1, so it is most likely to be played on Reverse Speed ruleset but it could still be used even on standard battles since the Dodge and True Strike will compensate for its lack of speed. Since there was Weapon's Training now that gives attack to non- damage monster, It's oppress ability will be more important than ever before as even if non- damage monsters gets attack, they still received double damage when hit by monster with Oppress.

If you don't want to use Redwyrm Hatchling that is range, maybe you prefer to use Redwyrm Dragon with its magic attack. It was quite fast with the max speed of 6 in addition to Flying that gives it 25% evasion chance and Immunity which makes it unaffected by negative status effects such as Poison and Silence and this also makes to be the ideal monster to use on Earthquake and Noxious Fumes ruleset. At the same time, it has Stun by which will prevent the target to attack for a turn so this will be able to served some use when Heavy hitters was an active ruleset.
| Edition | Rebellion |

Runeseer Sevaya does not have any damage but it was compensated with its arsenal of abilities. At Level 1, it got cleanse which removes any negative effects and Protect that gives armor on all allied monsters. At level 2, it gets blind which increases the chance of all ally cards to evade attacks by 15% and when it gets level 3, it gets Repair which restores an ally armor. Finally, at level 4, it gains Amplify which increases damage from reflected attacks. Another good advantage this card has was that it only cost 4 mana so it can be played both on large and low mana ruleset.
It was a very amazing support with a wide range of utility for a wide range of rulesets and since this was a dragon card, it can be use in combination of other elements and also can be use on Little League ruleset. Also, we have now lots of monsters with Weapon's Training weapons ability, including the neutral card Moxian Rebel above so even if it does not have damage, it can be given an attack and at the same time, diversify the attack types that can be given depending on the situation.
Weapon's Trainer Cards
By placing Runeseer Sevaya anywhere close to any of this cards, it can gain damage depending on which card was next to it and perhaps even different attack types such as magic and range when it was between Skok Duskblight and Zyriel or melee and magic when it was between Kulu Mastermind and Moxian Rebel.
| Edition | Rebellion |
|---|---|
| Mana Cost | 4 |

| Rarity | Common |

| RF Burn Value | 500 |
| GF Burn Value | 2500 |
The only melee on the group, Solace Ashinach was not as impressive looking at its damage but where it excels was on its health, having a total health of 10 together with the Return Fire and Magic Reflect ability which will return both range and magic damage towards the attacker which it gets on level 1 and 2. At level 3, it gets the Reflection Shield which makes it immune from both indirect and reflected attacks and when it was defeated in battle, it will deal 1 damage on all opponent monsters with Redemption. Just like Runeseer Sevaya it also only cost 4 mana and would be great to have together when building a low mana team like the one I build below.
By placing Moxian Rebel in between Merdaali Guardian and Runeseer Sevaya, both got magic attack and at the same time, it provided the support Solace Ashinach with Tank Heal, Cleanse, Protect and double Repair to sustain the damage it receives and prevent it from being afflicted by negative status effects.
| Edition | Rebellion |
|---|---|
| Mana Cost | 5 |
| Element | |
| Rarity | Legendary |
| Card Type | |
| Abilities | +1 Lookoutor +2 Ambush |
| RF Burn Value | 500 |
| GF Burn Value | 2500 |
For the last Dragon card for Rebellion we got the summoner Akane that at the cost of 5 mana, it can either give 1 monster with the Lookout ability to reduce damage from Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity attacks or give 2 monsters with the Ambush ability which allows them to attack even before the start of the battle. The ambush was an interesting ability because while it can only be used once, it makes monsters with Recharge ability to be able to attack even before the battle phase and deal its full Recharge damage and it was also great to apply on monsters with Double Strike ability and those with Dual attack because they can still attack during the battle phase.

And those were the following Dragon cards of Rebellion. 2023 was a year that was full of ups and downs for the game with the long bear market but the game survive and starting to be on a good position for the bull market. With the Year of the Wood Dragon, may the game flourish more with the new updates that the teams has come to offer.
Thank you and see you on my next post.
