RULESET: Lost Legendaries
Description:
Legendary units may not be used.
Legendary summoners are still available.
This ruleset is fairly straightforward: use of Legendary monsters is prohibited within battles. To outmaneuver your adversaries, the primary strategy involves harnessing the potential of splinters equipped with top-tier common, rare, and epic cards. Alternatively, you can opt to employ a lineup that resonates with your personal preferences while demonstrating optimal effectiveness. Personally, I really like the Water Splinter.
Within this context, my favored summoner is Keyla Frendul, who possesses remarkable attributes. This summoner notably imparts a +1 boost to both Speed and Armor, which contributes significantly to their efficacy on the battlefield. Across all leagues spanning from Bronze to Champion, Keyla Frendul has consistently exhibited the highest success rate, making her an invaluable asset in achieving victory.
The Strategy
The Summoner
Kelya Frendul is a rare Chaos Legion set summoner that provides plus one speed and shield to all monsters on our team for only four mana.
1st Slot - Tank
Pelacor Bandit is a common Chaos Legion Rewards monster. Normally I wouldn't use it as a tank, but in this fairly low mana battle where only twenty four mana is available and an odd ones out ruleset with missing legendaries I figured it would be up to the job. In the battle it comes with a seven speed, four melee damage, three shield and six health points in addition to fly ability that makes it even less hittable and all for only three mana.
2nd Slot - Secondary Tank Monster
Tide Biter is an epic Chaos Legion Rewards set monster that is great to use as a secondary tank due to it's reach, true strike and reflection shield abilities. It comes into the battle with five speed, three melee damage, three shield and seven health
3rd Slot - Healing, Strengthen and Armor Repair Support Monster
Merdaali Guardian is one of the key support monsters on the blue team. It is a rare Chaos Legion Core set monster that comes with tank heal, repair and strengthen abilities all for only three mana. In a low mana battle this monster really improves the survivability of monsters on your team.
4th Slot - Magic Damage Dealer Monster
Venari Wavesmith is a rare Chaos Legion Rewards monster that comes to the battlefield with five speed, three magic damage, three shield and five health points. It also packs two important abilities: protect and dispel.
5th Slot - Magic Nerf and Triage Monster
Angelic Mandarin is a Chaos Legion Core set rare monster that comes out on the field with five speed, two ranged damage, three shield five health and triage and silence abilities. Silence ability is particularly important to protect against our opponent doing a magic heavy play.
6th Slot - Sneak Protection Tank
Chaos Agent is a great mini tank. It has no attack, but for only one mana it is a perfect monster to throw in the back to protect your backline. It is a Chaos Legion Core set neutral common monster which comes out on to the battlefield with five speed, three shield and five health points. Additionally it has very important backfire and dodge abilities which could protect against sneak damage and even deal damage back to those monster that miss trying to hit this fast and evasive little tank.
THE BATTLE
Looks like our opponent chose the same blue team, but with a very different type of play. They went heavy magic hoping that their Merdaali Guardian can keep their beefy Nerissa Tridawn alive. They use the same Chaos Agent mini tank in the back just like I did. Let's see how this will work out
In round one not much has happened, we took out their front monster and lost four health on our front tank.
In round two we lost our front tank and took down Nerissa's health by half from ten to five, will that be enough in next round? Let's see...
And it was just enough! We took out their main tank and damage dealer, should be all good now.
And this is clearly a win, just a matter of time before we win as they no longer have any damage dealers.
And it is a win!
