It is always fun to beat a team that is operated by a scholar and it is especially fun to be a Heloise the Hollow lead team. If you check the market this card is not for sale and not rent, though in the first minutes of the the new season I sometimes see this card for rent for around 2,000 DEC per day.
Yes, Heloise the Hollow is that kind of card and it is really challenging to beat, because it is like a whole team of cards in one card. It is immune to the cards that disable it on defeat and it has a spite ability where it retaliates with a full power of eight melee damage when it is defeated.
The Battle
My strategy for this battle was to use Nidhoggr summoner in combination with big damage dealers. My main damage dealer is hidden in the back Zyrx the Emberglace. This negative ability card could be a very powerful card when combined with an Nidhoggr summoner. The primary reason is not even in the impressive basic stats of two magic and five melee damage as well as seven shield and ten health points, but it is the ability to attack from any position combined with Execute and Bloodlust.
This card can really stack up it's stats with Bloodlust when it is executing it's opponents thanks to the blast provided by the Nidhoggr!, Right in front of the Zyrx the Emberglace I have placed Venka with her seven melee damage that is a nice damage dealer as well! and finally my third damage dealer that uses blast from Nidhoggr is Dragon Egg Forager with five melee damage and ability to increase his health by using his Scavanger ability. Another key monster here is Arachne Weaver that has corrupted healing that is important for restoring health on the friendly team as well as having scavenger ability and even poison abilty.
I am also using Halfling Refugee upfront to gain as much time as possible for my main damage dealers. And finally I have my Mad Ogre Anarchist as another fairly sturdy monster to throw in in front of my main damage dealers. So let's see how this battle is going to play out...
First round featured some real fireworks from the very start. team piloted by his scholar Jayemm3 has started off the battle in a fast and furious way taking out my two front monsters before any monster on my team even had a chance to take a shot at the opponents.
Then my Venka took out Heloise the Hollow only to be taken out with a retaliate from Heloise the Hollow due to her Spite ability. Then Heloise the Hollow was taken out twice by my Zyrx the Emberglace and she did manage to retaliate twice on Zyrx the Emberglace, but Zyrx was able to take her nine melee damage due to his strong health boosted by the bloodlust.
Then my Dragon Egg Forager took out Heloise the Hollow and she once again retaliated successfully with nine melee damage but Dragon Egg Forager held his own due to his massive health boosted by his scavenger ability. At the start of round two Heloise the Hollow still stands, let's see what the second round brings...
At the start of the round two Heloise the Hollow was taken out by one of her own! Electrified damage from the golden foil Calamity on her team took her out and the monster right behind her. That was a much needed assist for my team.
And so as you see in the screenshot above my Bloodlust boosted Zyrx the Emberglace is taking the first shot in the second round and will take out Venka on Azircon's team as well as the monster right behind her!
That boosts Zyrx the Emberglace even further and due to the Deathblow ability from Nidhoggr summoner Zyrx hits Calamity for twenty melee damage! As Splinterlands said it was Brutal!!!
And then my Dragon Egg Forager finishes off Calamity before she can take a single shot:
A convincing victory over a significantly higher ranked opponent:
