I've been playing Splinterlandssince before the tail end of the Alpha booster packs selling out and the introduction of the Beta booster packs. It's been a long time.
2 years ago, I wrote about how I won a Prince Rennyn card when opening an ORB pack. You can read that post here:

Back then people were selling them for $20 - $30 dollars if you can believe that. Seriously crazy stuff. I sold mine for around the same price and I had regretted it ever since.
A few weeks ago I saw it on the market for $99 and wanted to buy it. I made the owner an offer after they jumped up the price to $135. It was the day before I got paid so I needed to wait. They agreed to sort something out but nothing eventuated.
The card then sold at the higher price before I could get paid again. So, I ended up buying the Prince again for $140 in credits.
It's crazy to pay that kind of money for a digital asset don't you think? Or so I thought.
Checking the current price of Prince Rennyn, it's now currently worth $1150. Now that's insane!
A princely price for the PrinceEither way, I can sleep better at night knowing that the Prince is safely back at home in my collection, earning a princely sum of DEC for my troubles. Chuckle. See what I did there?
The lesson here is to never sell your Splinterlands cards when you can lease them out for DEC.
