Introduction

Today I will be sharing my thoughts on Sea Wreck which is the upcoming Riftwatcher Airdrop because we hit 1.5 millions packs sold which some actually got burned due to a proposal passing. If not I'm not sure how much longer it would've taken for us to reach this airdrop. This airdrop is supposedly going to drop after the next mext tech update so let's look forward to that.

As you can see from below, I'm ready to get my guaranteed 1bcx from this airdrop. I'm really hoping for a gold foil or if I am able to get more than 1bcx that would be great.

Sea Wreck

Let's just look at the stats. The raw stats are pretty strong and I feel like it might be able change the meta for certain rulesets. This card is insane especially with the bloodlust which I feel could be too strong because this can be activated from his return fire and counter spell abilities.

When I look at this card, I'm thinking he would be a reverse speed god even though he has that bloodlust. This card kind of reminds me of a Water Version of Grum if we're looking at the stats. It's just that the abilities are slightly different. Sea Wreck would also be great in the lost magic ruleset as the opponent can only play melee or range. This card could be strong in bronze since there aren't many giant killers in this league.

In my opinion though, I don't feel this card is OP or anything. In fact, I feel it will most likely be a niche card that will be played depending on the ruleset. It's nowhere near the level of a Dr Blight or even some of the soulbound reward cards. Some of the soulbound reward cards have insane stats and abilities. Just think about how often Grum is played, I think Sea Wreck will have a similar case but I could be wrong.

I will probably rent and try to play with this card but to be honest, I'm not going to expect too much. The water element is already probably in my opinion the strongest element in the game at the moment so I think to give it this meh airdrop is alright. It's not a terrible card but I don't think it will be better than a baakjira or diemonshark as a frontline.

Concluding Thoughts

Sea Wreck is an alright card. I don't think it's great and I don't think it's bad either. It will have a hard time competing for a frontline spot from baakjira and diemonshark as I mentioned before.
