Hello Friends,
Good day to you and happy weekend. I hope that the weekend is going well for you guys and it's so far fun for me as well. It's Sunday today and I am using this time to draft and publish this submission post for this week's Battle Mage Secrets challenge.
This splinterland season is halfway and I have achieved seventeen season packs till now in this season. I know that this is not doing well and this is also because I have lost so many battles in the last few days. See friends it's a game and I just can't keep on winning all the time because if I do then what other people will do this is why sometimes my strategy works and sometimes it does not. I don't mind when I lose the battle instead I try to figure out how I can do better because I am based on the rental market which can also be an issue for me.
This is an important part that is helping me a lot and I am sure there are so many players in the game who are dependent upon the rental market. Sometimes in the markets cards are taken back by the owner and that is when we lose the power of their card in the account without any notification. The owner always has the right to cancel the rental or the delegation and I'm sure there will be some day when I will have better cards in my deck that too owned by me but for now I am okay with the rental. While I get the card I want at a lower price in the market by opting for rent I hope I am also helping the market to increase some utility through the rental.
This week we have another rule set which is interesting but it is not quite common because we need to play many battles then possibly we get this one. With each battle that is introduced once a week, we get the chance to check out different rule sets and how we can make the most of learning about the game. Some rules are common in the games that we often play but there are so many that we cannot get easily. When we keep on playing then the possibility is higher for such rulesets.
Challenge Rule - Stampede
This week the rule set is Stampede and this is fun sometimes in the game. This is a bit rare rule set in the splinterlands game. I have not played so many battles using this rule set if I remember correctly but tried my best to play as well as I could but I could not win. I already told you that winning is not everything because sometimes even if you lose the battle then also learning is important and that's what I truly believe while playing the battles in the splinterlands.
Trample will retrigger infinitely as long as the trampling unit keeps killing other units. The prime use case for Summoner Possibilus the Wise.
Cards Selection
When we get ready for the battle the first action we are required to take is picking the right cards. Undoubtedly this is an important part because if the card selection is good then probably we are going to win the battle. This process sounds easy but I don't think it is really easy because sometimes when we pick the card we feel like it is good but the outcome is not what we expect. It is the key component in the game and what I am trying to say is that if you select the better cards for the battle then the probability of winning is higher. Below are the cards I have chosen and this time I went ahead with dragon summoner and with water element.
- The Kraken
- Sand Worm
- Feasting Seaweed
- Furious Chicken
Battle details
Below is the link to my battle here that is shared and you can use the link to check out the battle. I picked 6 cards and mana was enough for the battle.

Here I also share a couple of snapshots from the battle that I discussed-
I played the battle using Dragon Monster and along with that, I used the water element because with the dragon we get the option to use another one and I have chosen water. I think my selection was good but it is just the opponent player has got some better cards in the team. Even though I did not win the battle I think that my cards did pretty well on the battleground and tried level best to win it but at the last moment because of one card, I lost the battle. It was fun to play this battle going with the card that I had chosen and kept the highly powerful card at the front while keeping the chicken at the end which was also part of the strategy.
Conclusion
Overall the gaming experience was good with this battle and as I have already discussed I chose the Dragon summoner and water monsters. I followed the rule as the rule because I had the ability that was needed for this challenge. The battle also got the reverse speed rule set and that is where I missed picking some cards with less speed I could have done better on the game for this battle. Like I say when we lose the battle and watch it again it is good because we can see what went wrong and how we can improve further next time to avoid similar mistakes. I try this way and this is how I am trying to improve my knowledge about the game and how I can improve more on the battles and of course on the overall winning ratio.
