Hello all Splinterlands friends,
This is my entry to the Battle Mage Secrets challenge from the Splinterlands team.
This week's theme is the Going the Distance ruleset, so I would like to share a battle with it.
The battle ruleset
- 37 mana cap
- Ruleset - Going the Distance and Holy Protection
- Splinter - Earth and Water
This battle is challenging because I don't have many strong Range monsters. Fernheart is absolutely suitable for Going the Distance. Unfortunately, I don't have him so I need to find another strategy with Water splinter.
My lineup
| Summoner | Kelya Frendul - to have +1 Speed in order to give the early attacks and +1 armor to protect my monsters | |
|---|---|---|
| 1st position | Venari Marksrat - he will be blew in a second and give +1 to all stats to Drybone Raider in the 2nd position | |
| 2nd position | Drybone Raider - he is my key attacker in this battle with the Double strike ability. The only disadvantage is his high mana cost so he only usable in the battle with middle mana cap and above | |
| 3rd position | Swamp Spitter - his Repair ability will keep Drybone Raider stay longer on the board | |
| 4th position | Axemaster - another monster with Double strike ability. This ability is very useful to eliminate the Holy Protection | |
| 5th position | Naga Windmaster - the last monster but very important with Headwinds ability to reduce 1 range attack from enemy monsters |

- My enemy also chose Water splinter. All the monsters are in max level with Kelya Frendul level 3.
- My strategy worked well and I won the battle after 6 rounds. All the monsters support each other. Missing any monster in this combination, I could lose this battle.
That's all for now and hope you enjoy this battle.
I would love to see your battle with the Going the Distance ruleset in the Splinterlands community.
