Last couple of days I've read a lot of posts about how hard people find it to get out of bronze league since Chaos Legion went live. With this post I'll try to share some tips and tricks of how I survived bronze.
First of all I don't want to offend anyone who is struggling, I was struggling as well the first couple of days of this season. So I really understand how hard it can be.
My story
I started with a rating of 500, full of courage to get fast to silver again, like I did previous season. After some matches I was at a rating of about 400. Afterwards I was sliding down further in bronze III, so I even didn't get any dec anymore for wins. My rating slipped down to 189. At that moment I was really thinking what I could do to improve myself to get better. After all I reached silver III last season, why wouldn't it be possible now. I started looking for guides and asking other Splinterlandsplayers what I could do to get out of bronze.
How did I get out?
The first thing I found out was that it's normal that in the beginning of the season it's harder to climb. Players will be placed lower at the start of a new season, so this means that everyone wants to climb. Yes, also the players with for example full decks.
Besides that, I started to look into which cards I would need to get out of bronze league. There are ofcourse multiple strategies possible. But I went for 2 cards: Mylor Crowling and Mushroom seer.

Mylor Crawling
Mushroom Seer
Why these cards?
With these cards added to the earth deck, you can win from a lot of decks in bronze. Mylor Crawling helps you to kill most melee-decks. Or should I say the enemy melee-decks kill themself? 😄
When you add the Mushroom Seer aswell, your chanches of winning from the magic earth decks, which are present a lot with the free earth summoner Obsidian, it's even easier to climb.
Sidenote
Splinterlands has ofcourse a lot of cards and different possibilities.
In bronze most people are playing mostly the free cards of lvl1, so these cards work pretty good. Ofcourse these cards can be countered as well. So you'll need to adapt the strategy depending on the rules and mana. If you want to climb higher than you'll encounter more diferentiated decks with more powerfull summoners and cards, so at a certain point it won't be as easy as just lending those 2 cards.
