Good day Splinter Buddies, here we are again for another Battle Challenge featuring the RuleSet Broken Arrows, this disables all range attack monsters. For me This Ruleset makes countering more accurate because only melee and magic monsters are to be countered. And Also basing on the additional rule sets you can pick the right counters more precise.
Ruleset Revealed and Element Selecion
And for my featued battle two additional ruleset were added.
- Melee Mayhem : Melee monster can attack from any position1.
- Earthquake : Non-flying units take 2 melee damage at the end of each round.
In addition to this rules, we are given a 29 mana battle giving us a decent monster to choose from. And considering the mana and earthquake I decided to go with life, because this element has a lot of flying in addition to the neutral cards.
Monster Selection Explained
- Lux Vega - the shield buff and additional health will help in withstanding the damage from earthquake and that speed making sure we hit first.
- Pelacor Conjurer - Basing on the rule surely a magic monster will be used , and with the earthquake a Pelacor Conjurer will be a perfect fit.
- Gargoya Lion - Still because of possible magic monsters I picked this as a counter, and is also an earthquake immune.
- Celestial Harpy - aside from its flying ability, the main reason for this pick is the true strike and opportunity this will surely hit those target no matter what.
- Jared Scar - with melee mayhem this card will be unstoppable, given the average mana I've assumed that the enemy will pick low life monsters giving the piercing ablity, bloodlust and true strike a big advantage for me.
- Time Mage- with the rust ability any armors will be removed giving the enemy an disadvantage when the earthquake takes effect.
- Uraeus - with the poison ability and a 4 speed and an addition to the buff of lux , it will eliminate any backline threat in an instant.
Battle Highlights
- Just after all the buff and debuffs were applied I can already see that I have a speed advantage, that's when I knew my Pelacor Conjurer will evade most of the attacks.
- And as expected at round two nothing hit my tank, and their tank is already down. They got my Uraeus but all the remaining enemy monsters are now just a hit from my Jared.
- At the end of round 2 almost all the enemy monsters are now gone and my tank is still unscratched, this really shows how strong Pelacor Conjurer is.
- Just at round 3 all enemy monster is eliminated, seems like a plan well executed and it gave me a win.
