21 New Reward Cards have launched today in Splinterlands. Here's the breakdown and what you need to know!
Fire
Abilities: Void Armor (Lvl 1), Amplify (Lvl 6), Thorns (Lvl 20)
Amplify at lvl 6 - Gold players rejoice! This is the only card in the game with Amplify currently. Pairs nicely with new Dragon rewards card, Djinn Chwala. Rusty Android, Prsimatic Energy, and Naga Brute could be other ways for newer players to take advantage of this ability
Abilities: Blast (Lvl 1), Redemption (Lvl 5), True Strike (Lvl 8)
2 Damage, 4 speed, and Blast makes it a nice card for Melee-specific Battle conditions
Abilities: Close Range (Lvl 1), Stun (Lvl 4)
Solid off-tank
Water
Abilities: Sneak (Lvl 1), Flying (Lvl 1)
Decent speed + flying + sneak + 2 health makes for a decent last slot guardian
Abilities: Protect (Lvl 1), Disple (Lvl 5)
Another Water magic attacker that can bolster your team's defenses with Protect
Abilities: Void (Lvl 1), Phase (Lvl 2), Forcefield (Lvl 3)
Improved version of Unciorn Mustang?
Earth
Abilities: Flying (Lvl 1), Heal (Lvl 6), Retaliate (Lvl 10)
Dodgey tank that adds Heal at the Gold+ levels
Abilities: Scavenger (Lvl 1), Poison (Lvl 5)
Ranged scavenger is a nice passive-heal option
Abilities: Camouflage (Lvl 1), Void (Lvl 2), Weaken (Lvl 3)
Nice hidden magic damage for Earth for a low Mana cost
Death
Abilities: Flying (Lvl 1), Backfire (Lvl 6), Retaliate (Lvl 10)
Dodgey tank with Flying and Backfire. Very interesting.
Abilities: Life Leech (Lvl 1), Poison (Lvl 4), Disple (Lvl 8)
Mini-Anicent Lich with Life Leech and Magic Damage. Could make for a common 1-2 punch for Death teams
Abilities: Shield (Lvl 1), Immunity (Lvl 2), Demoralize (Lvl 3)
All-around great utility tank. I love his Immunity at Level 2 (fantastic for Poison Battle scenarios as he also has an Attack value, unlike Almo)
Life
Abilities: Flying (Lvl 1), Magic Reflect (Lvl 4), Divine Shield (Lvl 7), Phase (Lvl 10)
High speed + flying + low mana makes him a nuisance
Abilities: Tank Heal (Lvl 1), Dispel (Lvl 6)
Divine Healer v 2.0. Base card provides new Life players with a ranged attack for 1 extra mana
Abilities: Strengthen (Lvl 1), Triage (Lvl 4)
Adds more Magic muscle to the Life team and fits in nicely with her added buffs
Dragon
Abilities: Backfire (Lvl 4), Swiftness (Lvl 8)
Dodgey, low-cost ranged attacker
Abilities: Reach (Lvl 1), Stun (Lvl 5)
Unlocking Stun at Level 5 is nice from a Reach off-tank
Abilities: Thorns (Lvl 1), Enrage (Lvl 4), True Strike (Lvl 6)
Mini-Gorlodon. Pair it with the new Venari Heatsmith and watch it go to work!
Neutral
Abilities: Flying (Lvl 1), Void (Lvl 5), Enrage (Lvl 9)
Niche card perfect for Reverse Speed scenarios. Otherwise, underwhelming.
Abilities: Flying (Lvl 1), Close Range (Lvl 1), Deathblow (Lvl 4)
LlamaKron Terminator?
Abilities: Sneak (Lvl 1), Poison (Lvl 4)
Utility low-mana Sneaker with added survivability
