The folks at Splinterlands have provided us with an update on Chaos Legion, and if you have already read it, here are my thoughts..
1.Since the Vouchers are required, most players will have to wait for a while before they can purchase the new packs. That means they (including me) will miss 1-2 months of potential airdrop points until we purchase through secondary markets at a higher price. How much will that cost? My guess is that the cards will cost around $6 to $10 per pack, which isn't a great value considering the lower power each pack will have.
2.For those with limited resources, they will have to decide whether to spend more money to get the presale rewards and airdrop points or wait until the packs are available at regular price for everyone. There is a problem with the latter since whales and the secondary markets may make money from the presale and decide to buy and sell the packs again for a higher profit.
3.It seems a bit expensive to me since there will be 15 million packs total, 10x more than the previous ones. More common cards will be inexpensive on the market, so there is a high possibility that we will get packs that are worth far less than four dollars. For me $4 is a big gamble unless you are participating in the presale.
4.It seems that the minimum quantity to qualify for the bonus is 100 bulk packs. I mean, $400 is a bit steep. I would prefer to get one bonus pack for every 10packs purchased in bulk, but that's how it is.
