After not making it last season, after a lot of grinding and buying energy, I finally managed to squeeze my hopefully growing ass (deadlifts and squats) into Champion 1, with just under two days left. And it was a grind. After enjoying almost a full season without the bots and battle helpers earlier, the last couple seasons have been horrible. But,
"tis what it tis"
At some point they will update the Terms of Service (ToS) and hopefully the people who actually care about the game itself and their investments in it, will adhere to the rules and encourage others to do the same. If people want a better economic experience in this world, they should act like it.
I only just scraped in, so I won't get to play anymore this season, as I don't want to risk dropping out again and having to start from halfway up Diamond 1.
Look at this shite:
At least it is over 50% win rate.
Barely.
And I picked up a few Season Chests. Though, it doesn't really seem to help me much, since most of the value I get is in potions that I will likely not use in the future. I am going up a lot of maxed soulbound reward cards now, and I only have a few, and the ones I have are not the ones that are the most useful. But I am close on some, so a couple more seasons and a little luck and I might close some out.
I also bought a little more SPS:
It will have some value someday.
Right?

The burning of Gems has finally made it to the next drop point and I picked up 11 regulars, which was just enough to max one. It is a decent card all up and while I have a couple wins with it, I am not yet sure how to play it well. The airdrops are great, but I wish there were more Promo cards dropped like Vruz based on SPS held. I thought (might be wrong) that was meant to be a quarterly bonus for holding SPS, but it seems it has fallen by the wayside. I think there should be some bonuses for buying and holding too much SPS as it drops in price.
While I have been brawling, I haven't been playing any tournaments since the battle helpers returned, because I just don't see the point to it. Tournaments should always be person v person. And, while I can see the benefits of allowing battle helpers in lower leagues, I think that once max cards are in play (Diamond and Champion), it should be human challenger only. It is silly that people who can't compete themselves, are able to hold positions in the top rankings where the rewards are significant and good players reside.
Fair play. No judgement?
Out of 30,000 runners, over a third cheated. Should they keep their finishing positions? What a farce. It is incredible that this even happens, I mean, what is the point of entering a friggen' marathon if you aren't actually going to run it?
The free T-Shirt.
When there are prizes on offer, there will be those willing to cut the corners to get theirs. And, because some do it, others do it. Lead by example right? So hopefully, the ToS updates (when they arrive) will influence some of the "leaders" to take an open position. Those that hide themselves away and take those taxis to cut the course, well, they have a name.
When it comes to playing a game, it isn't a "to each their own" approach, because without rules, it isn't a game. Even bloody MMA has rules and disqualifications for breaking them.
But I am judgmental!
Aren't we all?
Well, I ran the marathon, no bike, taxi or train used.
Where's my shirt?
