This week, we are featuring the COUNTERSPELL ruleset.
| COUNTERSPELL | All monsters receive the Magic Reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy monsters that attack with magic receive damage back. Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up. | |
For this ruleset, to avoid the effect of the damage you will not use a mage attack. Expect your opponent will use melee or range attacker on the battlefield. Below are some defensive abilities to help you in the battle.
| Shield | Its reduce the damage of range when the attacker hit you. | |
| Dodge | Has an increased chance of evading ranged attacks. | |
| -1 Range attack | Summoner Reduces the attack of the ranged monster of the opponent. | |
| Headwinds | Reduces the attack of ranged monster. | |
| Demoralize | Reduce the damage of the melee attacker. | |
| Demoralize | When the melee attacker hit you it will give extra damage to the attacker. | |
If you want to play in the offensive position using a mage attacker. The best way is to lessen the damaging effect or Add a damaging effect to the attacker. Below are the abilities you can use in the battle.
| Reflection Shield | Take no damage from magic reflect. | |
| Silence | Reduce the damage of Mage attacker. | |
| VOID | It's Reduce the damage of Mage when the attacker hit you. | |
| VOID ARMOR | When the Mage attacker hit you the armor first take damage. Only take effect when the monster has armor. | |
| Amplify | Increase the damaging effect of magic reflect. |

I used PRINCE JULIAN as a summoner So that I can place more monsters on the battlefield.
BATTLE LINE-UP
| KRALUS - One of the rulesets is an earthquake. I put in 1st position a flying monster with heal. | |
| CELESTIAL HARPY - Melee attacker with Opportunity, True strike and flying abilities. The Opportunity of Celestial can attack any position of the monster with lower health. | |
| MIGHTY DRICKEN - 1 mana monster with flying ability. Only for the dummy monsters if my opponent uses opportunity or snake my back monsters will 1st to hit. | |
| SOUL FIEND - legendary 0 Mana monster.Only for the dummy monsters is my opponent using opportunity or snake those back monsters will 1st to hit. | |
| FURIOUS CHICKEN - 0 mana monster.Only for the dummy monsters if my opponent uses opportunity or snake my back monsters will 1st to hit. | |
ROUND 1
- In 1st round, like I plan Celestial Harpy hit 1st my back monster Furious Chicken.
ROUND 2
- Before starting round 2 earthquake effect is activated. The furious Chicken of the opponent dies.
- In round 2, My Kralus kill opponent PELACOR CONJURER. But CELESTIAL HARPY of opponent another kill in my back monster.
ROUND 3
- Before starting round 3 earthquake effect is activated. The SOUL FIEND of the opponent dies.
- In round 3, because of the effect of return damage of counterspell opponent CAPTAIN KATIE dies. My Celestial Harpy kills the opponent Celestial Harpy.
ROUND 4
- Battle end in round 4. The effect of the earthquake kills the last monster of the opponent.
For me, my strategy was successful putting Kralus in the 1st position. Kralus is a melee and mage attack. the damage of counterspell is lessened because of heal ability of Kralus. Putting also a dummy monster in the back is helpful to avoid the attack of Celestial Harpy of the opponent.
