Let the battle begin!!!
The battle began with Aimless Activity, where both ranged and magic attackers were just firing unpredictably. And classing of melee monsters, but Dread Tafarians staying strong and still locked up in the frontline. Helping push through the thick armor of Beluroc was melee attack from Dread Tafarian creating a dent.
Earthquake set in after few exchanges at the beginning of the battle. But Tafarians ability keep him alive through to this stage. Weaker support monsters on either side suffered a crucial blow and got eliminated.
The Black widow in my opponents backline was eliminated by a lucky Aimless strike, while Little Sister struggled to keep up in the battle. Meanwhile, Tafarian kept pounding the frontline, making sure Beluroc could not stabilize.
Earthquake damage snowballed again after several rounds of exchanges of fires. My Time Bandit and Deputy helped finish off the fragile midline, while Tafarian delivered decisive strikes to clean up the survivors.
With only scraps left on the enemy’s side, Tafarian sealed up the win. His high health pool, restore ability and consistent melee attacks proved invaluable in this drawn-out Aimless and Earthquake ruleset brawl.
Why Dread A Hidden Gem
Foundation Monster with a display of true power, having the ability to hold the frontline for as long as the ruleset could take the battle. He brings the high impact damage that pays off at the most needed time. With strength and resilience, he is able to hold the enemy army longer enough for the backers to cause the damage. An Armor for extra protection.
Great in both low and high Mana cap battles as he is able to add that extra value to the army. But he shines best at high Mana cost battles with additional power.
Also has a decent amount of health to keep the fire burning for a reasonable duration. The best part of all of these is how he is able to restore health of 1/3 of maximum at the end of every round. This adds extra health line not to only him but also benefits the whole team.
Often overlooked due to high mana cost and no additional abilities like sneak, magic, etc and just -1 damage of melee attack but I feel the heat this Monster brings to the table at every battle. That underestimation is exactly what makes him a hidden gem and one of my favorites.
Thanks for reading, and good luck uncovering your own hidden gems and see you in the arena!!
