Hey Summoners,
Here is the link.
As usual I am taking part in this challenge, and without much ado, lets delve into it.
Every battle in Frontier Mode is no doubt a test of balance, wit and endurance. And one of my recent victories proved just exactly that. The grind paid off handsomely with two fantastic reward and an entry into a draw. And of course, I couldn’t keep it to myself but share with this fun packed community.
The Rewards;
1. Incessant Sage (Rare – Life Splinter)
2. Port Guardian (Gold Foil – Water Splinter)
But before that, lets revisit the battle that brought these super cool trophies.
⚔️ Battle Overview
Ruleset: Standard
Mana Cap: 41
My Team led by Summoner Barthalamas (with +1 Speed buff to units)
(All level 1 foundation monsters)
1️⃣New Beluroc Aegis (Minotaur); my frontliner and damage absorber, built to endure heavy strikes until he is of the battlefield.
2️⃣ Chaos Furybringer (Bruteborn); a fierce follow-up with balanced offense positioned to deal a reach attack of -2.
3️⃣ Vengeful Monk (Human); offering -2 melee damage to units with the least HP through its opportunity ability .
4️⃣ Ash Archer (Elf); quick ranged support to pierce through weakened foes.
5️⃣ Kanaaq Miner (Goblin); a fast, sneaky attacker capable of exploiting backlines.
6️⃣ Ember Roast Sow (Suidae); my anchor in the rear, dealing closing blows.
Opponent’s Team led by Summoner: Aurelia ( with+1 HP to units)
1️⃣ Dread Tafarian
2️⃣ Vengeful Monk (Human)
3️⃣ Grand Consul Minion
4️⃣ Wilhelmdale Deputy
5️⃣ Kicking Roc
It was a grand clash between mastery Archons ( Fire and Earth ). Both sides brought the heat on. Both sides of the battle field filled with frontline and backline monsters strategically positioned. However, Barthalamas’ + 1 speed buff proved my monsters had the edge, letting my team strike first and were in absolute control. Before they could retaliate, the harm has already be done. Grand Consul Minion was quickly knocked out even before the round two.
New Beluroc Aegis the Taunt drawing all the attacks of the enemy units unto himself, making it possible for the other member units to still keep on with good health and strength. Being able to survive all the enemy attacks, the table now turned, Chaos Legion with the reach delivered a strong melee attack followed by the other member units ( Kanaaq Miner, Ember Roast Sow) both with a sneak attack. To top it up, were the range attacker (Ash Archer) dealing a -2 damage.
By round 3, it was a 5 against 2 showdowns. My team with the highest number. Just two range attackers on the opponent’s side (Wilhelmdale Deputy and Kicking Roc). Meaning at this point, Wilhelmdale Deputy is useless because she can’t do nothing at the position (Frontline). Sooner than later Kicking Roc was also smashed into pieces. Which of course Wilhelmdale Deputy was cleared. In the end, all 5 my squad except the sacrificial monster New Beluroc Aegis were standing strong celebrating a victorious win. The Fire Lords sealed the win with their relentless attacks, securing the final blow and my Frontier victory!

A Llamataur warrior standing strong in the Water Splinter was the true prize in the end, a majestic Gold Foil : Port Guardian.

A Level 3 monster it is. This card’s durability and balanced offense make it an excellent frontline tank in both Reverse Speed and Standard rulesets. The extra health and armor at higher levels allow Port Guardian to survive burst damage while providing sustained melee output.
The Gold Foil version do not only shine visually but also boosts DEC/Battle Rewards, making it both aesthetic and strategic value in play.
