Good day everyone splinterlands community, zactian here. Today I'll blog about another weekly challenge, Battle Mage Secrets, and share my strategy.
The Stampede is the challenge, in which all units gain the Trample ability
in this battle. I'll play my Scholar account this time (IGN: BLTZR-WIZARD-728) from SDV BLTZR. I found match-up grinding and will reveal my primary technique on this rule set. Comment below with your opinions on the potential lineups at this level. Is it really helpful for this battle ruleset? Let's see and match up with the Wands Out rule set.
Stampede
All Units gain the Trample Ability, when a unit with the trample ability defeats the opposing cards then it will attack again this only triggers if the unit is in Melee attack.
Rule Set
Stampede - All Units gain the Trample Ability
It has 51 mana caps, and only Water, Life, and Death Element are active in this battle.
Recommended summoner to use for Stampede:
- Astral Entity
- Kelya Frendul
- Lorna Shine
Note: I only have limited cards but useful in some rule sets and will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want to have a high chance of winning then I advise you to rent or buy cards that are useful or stronger for most rule sets.
Kelya Frendul
Additional +1 for both Armor and Speed.
- Good tanking and attacking first.
- Most of the units in this water element are at high speed already.
- It is good for Stampede rule set because of Deep Lurker + Kulu Mastermind present in this element.
Link of the battle: RUMBLE
My Lineup
First position - BaakJira
- Act as a tank in the first position because of 17 Health, healing ability, and Void ability. Void ability is also good as I assume that the opponent will use some Magic Units.
Second position - Kulu Mastermind
- Putting this in position together with Baakjira, it gives +2 Melee attack because of the ability of Weapons Training. An ability that can gain half of a unit Melee attack to adjacent teams unit.
Third position - Deep Lurker
- Core damage as it has 5 Melee attacks and a chance of applying poison. Both Deep Lurker and Kulu Mastermind have the ability of Opportunity.
Fourth position - Nerissa Tridawn
- Second core magic damage as it has 5 magic attacks. I think this is the only unit that has no ability at all.
Fifth position - Wave Brood
- It acts as a taunt to all Range attacks, Magic attacks, opportunity, sneaks, and snipes. It is because of Taunt ability as the name says it is explanatory basically taunts the opposing team to attack this unit. And other useful abilities like Return Fire and Void.
Last position - Swamp Spitter
- The abilities are very helpful with Giant Killer and Repair. Giant Killer can trigger if the opponent uses more than 10 mana cards this will be double the damage if it hits 10+ mana cards. Repair can restore a third max armor to my unit team.
Analyzing Battle
My Swamp Spitter and Wave Brood are kind of mistake position if the opponent use Blast this positioning is bad. But as I can see in the match the opponent didn't use some Scatter or Blast ability, so my position is still in good shape. Analyzing the opponent Kralus and Bila the Radiant which are both legendary cards. The positioning of the opponent is not bad as it has Healing to Iziar because of Triage ability of Djinnn Renova.
Effective or not?
As you can see in the match my Lineup did work even if the opponents used Chanseus the Great. I still out-damaged the opponent the difference in damage is what won me. The opponent Bila the Radiant is good but didn't have enough damage to execute my Baakjira. If only the opponent utilized and fully maxed those Kralus and Iziar then I might have a chance to lose. It is quite unexpected to see that it didn't much use of trample in a team, which this rule set didn't much help and required to meet the condition.
Im not quite a fan of this match Rule set but Rumble and Trample will be the best combo and challenge I will experience in this match.
And if my opponent changes the lineup of units and has Stronger Summoners like mentioned above the Possible Summoner to use then I might lose in this match. Most commonly I use the Water element, this is what most of the matches I use.
If you want to use Water Line up please do check some of my blogs and I hope it will help you.😊
