Good day everyone and the Splinterlands community. One of today's blog is the Drybone Raider unit, a unit that can help some rule sets like Rumble, Sneak, Up Close and Personal, and Opportunities typically opponent units that have super thick Armor will pretty easily disappear because Shatter Ability of this Unit.
It is also good in Gold, Diamond, and Champion League as long as Shatter Ability is present. It is dependable on rule sets, so picking other elements is your choice to win.
The rule sets will give you what you will use for the unit, and checking the opponent's history will also add to your assumption of possible units.
Drybone Raider
It is one of my favorite units when I have leveled it by 2 I can get the ability of Shatter and level 1 for Double Strike. For most rule sets I commonly use Rumble, Sneak, Up Close and Personal, and OpportunitiesRumble depending on the following rule sets and the opponent's history battle.
The abilities are:
Double Strike - It can attack twice both its Melee and Range type
Shatter - The ability that can Shatter the opposing team units Thick Armor
Cripple - Every attack it hits will trigger Cripple which losses 1 max Health opponent unit
Let's do a battle Modern League, I will be using a scholar account from BALTHAZAR in-game name BLTZR-WIZARD-728. Currently, Champion Modern League will be quite harder than it looks and I will surely do my best to grind more victories.
Rule set
Equal Opportunity
- All units have Opportunity abilities which can attack those lower health units first.
Up to Eleven
- All units have Amplify Ability which is an ability that increases Return Fire, Thorns, and Magic Reflect by 1.
Up Close & Personal
- Only Melee units are usable in this battle.
Choosing Team
Summoner - Kelya Frendul
- It adds both Speed and Armor by 1
- Most units are found to be at high speed already so the higher the speed the higher the chance to attack first.
- When it comes to speed it also have a chance to miss both Melee and Range Attacks by chance.
Possible Summoners to use:
Yodin Zaku
Possibilus The Wise
Kelya Frendul
Tarsa
First position - DiemonShark
It is the best option because of ability Retaliate Ability which can Retaliate by chance 50% from Incoming Attacks. Enrage and Trample are quite useful but it depends if this unit can execute the first position of the opponent or the tank position.
Second position - Legionner Alvar
The second tank choice is because of how thick the armor is and the useful ability of Demoralize that reduces opponents' Melee attacks by 1. Also the ability of Giant Killer Ability which is a double damage if the opponent uses 10 or more mana it hits.
Third position - Flying Squid
Act as support to my team units because of Bind Ability. An ability that has a chance to miss Incoming Melee and Range attacks by 15%. The ability to backfire is also useful if the opponent's attacks are miss then they will take 2 damage.
Fourth position - Coastal Sentry
Act as my core damage because of Double strike with 4 Melee Damage. I only have a level 8 Coastal Sentry but it is still useful. This will be so much more useful if I have max this unit. Piercing Ability is also quite useful and can penetrate the enemy unit the remainder will damage the target's Health.
Fifth position - Drybone Raider
This is the highlight of the blog, this unit has Shatter and Double Strike only because I only have level 2 Drybone Raider and yes this will be so much helpful if it is max level.
Last position - Deeplurker
Putting this in the last position was a plan because I want this unit to at least tank the back of the team and Demoralize ability also it is high damage considering it has 5 Melee damage.
Note: I only have limited cards but useful in some rule sets and will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want to have a high chance of winning then I advise you to rent or buy cards that are useful or stronger for most rule sets.
Now let's take into the battle: RUMBLE
The opposing team uses also Kelya Frendul, It is a pretty useful and commonly used summoner in most battles. Analyzing the opponent's units and positions is well-displayed. Considering it uses Gold foil Arkemis the Bear max level and Legendary Gold Foil Kulu Mastermind units. It is quite challenging because opponents show Arkemis the Bear and Kulu Mastermind. As I watched the battle my Drybone Raider unit was able to hit and execute opponent Legionner Alvar but it has already no armor because my other units were able to lessen its armor and difference in speed. M Retaliate Ability is luckily Retaliate and hit the opponent. This shows that my position in the team is able to win this battle as you watch the battle they attack my Legionner Alvar for those Opportunity opponent attacks because it is my lowest health and it is in the first unit that is low in health. Surely I would lose if the opponent used some stronger units but as it shows my strategy was able to execute as planned and win me in this battle. Overall my plan was successful it is simple yet effective. If the opponent puts or changes of position team then I might lose so do take time to check the opponent's battle history, Who knows if what strategy the opponent would use, can actually help you in VICTORY!
Thank you for reading this far and supporting me. I hope this will be a useful idea for you to use in the battle.
