Al-Haq describes itself as "an independent Palestinian non-governmental human rights organisation based in Ramallah, West Bank. Established in 1979 to protect and promote human rights and the rule of law in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), the organisation has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council." It promotes the boycott of Israel and has connections with terror.
In order to pressure the ICC to open investigations into supposed Israel war crimes, Al-Haq recently joined forces with ADDAMEER, a fellow palestinian "human rights" group with connections to terror, as well as PCHR, in a "Twitter storm."
One of Al-Haq's tweets as part of this Twitter storm concerned the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH):
Of course, the tweet is a blatant lie. Anyone with a basic knowledge of history knows there never was a "state of Palestine." Before the British took over administration of the territories of Palestine and Transjordan after World War I, it was an Ottoman region. And the British took over under a League of Nations mandate.
Besides, Israel-haters love pointing out British mandate of Palestine relics, as if somehow they are proof of a state of Palestine.
I suspect Al-Haq took liberties with the exact wording of FIDH's communication to the ICC. Perhaps that is why Al-Haq subsequently deleted the tweet.
Either way, it is yet another example of how the palestinians and their supporters resort to blatant lying and historical revisionism.
