Greetings, friends of Hive and @recreationalgames. Today I am going to share with you my experience with my son flying his kite on Los Chivos hill in the community of Villa de Cura, Zamora municipality, Aragua state.
Cabe destacar que mi hijo me había comentado que en el liceo donde estudia tuvieron una actividad en la materia de Educación física, donde cada estudiante debía llevar un papagayo para ponerlos a volar. Resulta que el día que mandaron esa actividad mi hijo no pudo ir al liceo porque estaba enfermo, sin embargo ese día le pidió prestado un papagayo a su compañero y pudo volar muy alto.
It should be noted that my son had told me that at the secondary school where he studies, they had an activity in Physical Education class where each student had to bring a kite to fly. It turns out that on the day they assigned this activity, my son was unable to go to school because he was ill. However, he borrowed a kite from his classmate that day and was able to fly it very high.
Después de esa experiencia, mi hijo con mi ayuda, hizo un papagayo con una bolsa plástica, cinta y unas varillas de madera. Luego el día sábado iba subir el cerro con mi hija con sus amigos, pero después subimos mi hijo y yo, al pasar por la primera subida, ya habían algunos muchachos que estaba volando sus papagayo.
After that experience, my son, with my help, made a kite out of a plastic bag, tape, and some wooden sticks. Then on Saturday, he was going to climb the hill with my daughter and her friends, but then my son and I went up, and as we passed the first climb, there were already some boys flying their kites.
Asimismo, decidimos llegar a la tercera montaña, que es la parte más alta y donde hace mayor cantidad de brisa para elevar mejor el papagayo. Resulta que el papagayo se elevo como dos metros de altura y de ahí no se pudo elevar más a pesar de que había mucha brisa, debido a la fuerza del viento la varilla del centro del papagayo se partió, lo cual impidió que se pudiera elevar más.
We also decided to go to the third mountain, which is the highest point and where there is more wind to help fly the kite. The kite rose about two metres into the air, but despite the strong breeze, it could not fly any higher because the force of the wind broke the rod in the centre of the kite, preventing it from rising any further.
Esta fue una experiencia muy gratificante para mí hijo y también para mí,, compartir con él está experiencia, acompañando en este juego recreativo donde disfrutamos tratando de volar este papagayo. Al final quedé con mi hijo en que le compraría un papagayo ya listo para llevarlo la próxima vez a la montaña.
This was a very rewarding experience for my son and also for me, sharing this experience with him, accompanying him in this recreational game where we enjoyed trying to fly this kite. In the end, I agreed with my son that I would buy him a kite ready to take to the mountains next time.
