Twitter is good for the odd - "Oh this seems interesting" .
That is all.
I happened on a tweet today and figured awe they have no comments, and since I have and always be rather flakey on those I figured oh shucks why not say some shit.
So the tool she is talking about obviously is way better than having some diverse project lead, since it is actual data not just opinion.

What I like
It is great for gaming and all, I would not really know since the character stories make no difference to me, but definitely now that more and more turn into movies and shows I think it will be a great thing to have under the hood.
If characters are going to be taken as is from the games then giving them a solid background there already just makes sense.
Then they can easily hop-scotch over to "TV" and be used as is.
That is one reason I guess.
Another reason for the tool, which I think is a lot more enjoyable and apt would be to drive the workforce. Obviously not in any real day to day company with real people who are just trying to get by and do a good job.
More like in the Top 500 and fancy places like Blizzard or Manufacturers in China. That is fine for the most of the world, but unfortunately for Americans, it will be in the day today. It just has to be and probably Australia. So the tool is perfect for anything from hiring and firing from Mc Donalds to Wall Street.
If you read the description of what it does, the main aim is to not just have token stereotypes. Which I think once you use it on real people is not really a problem right since they can't be token if they exist?
Then obviously you will need a bit of machine learning for the global populace because you would hate to not have the trendiest and most accepting groups working for you.
Again not really a problem, because if something like the diversity metric does do well. As it should, then you will have people automatically defining themselves by it anyway. Like wearing Levi's and identifying as a fish for the highest pay.
You ever seen a fish flip burger? Well, that is why it is a premium burger.
So in a nutshell what I like about the tool is hoping it does move beyond silly games and into the world and does hit all the right spots, with a little guidance from people but that pain point can be trained out. Know what I mean?
Then the silence. Sweet silence, nary a word as all are content, some may be contempt but they have silly common diversity indicators so should know better than to say anything.
Oh the silence will be great though.
