Praza turned towards the elevator and saw movement in the corner of his vision, his head spun to the left to look down the line of cars. He saw a bit of movement halfway down the row near an opening in the wall between the sides of the level and changed direction to walk towards it. He got to the end of the center wall closest to him and he stopped behind it. He slowly moved his head to the left of the wall and saw movement at the opening which he tried to focus on in the dim light.

The form moved out of view and he quickly slid to the right to peer around the wall but he saw no movement down the wall. Back to the left side and nothing. He stood looking down the wall with his brow furrowed then turned and walked to the elevator.

Tesar sat in the chair and stared out the window at the shadowed side of the building next door. A bright light crossed the shadowed wall as a helicopter flew low over the city. He could see Shadows of people through a few windows but no details. He was lost in his thoughts and didn’t see the door open in the hallway and Zeleny walk into the room until he jumped in surprise when he spoke.

“She’s awake now but’s still groggy. She’ll be fine in a couple hours,” Zeleny said as he walked to the kitchen and leaned against the counter.

“What exactly are you two supposed to do with the thing once you get it out of the country?” Tesar asked as he continued to stare out the window.

“Mishenka has a contact that we have to meet on Sunday. They are supposed to have a medic that can remove it from her. As soon as it’s out we’re gone.” Zeleny replied.

“How do you know Mishenka’s not just using you?”

Zeleny’s eyes narrowed and he stared at Tesar, “what’s that supposed to mean?”

“Just that I know I don’t trust him that much so I’m not sure why you are,” Tesar said as he turned to look at Zeleny.
