The place where today governs the government, is an old site dating from colonial times that was formerly used as a Convent or Beaterio of the nuns 馃晬 years later in 1878 began multiple modifications to serve in that building the government of Carabobo. These modifications were in the hands of the architect Mariano Revenga, by the way... the surname Revenga was very distinctive in Valencia. Among the Revenga family there were doctors, and being recognized by a surname and management, gave you the privilege of doing great things, as is the case today.
Continuing with the history of the architecture of the government for 1921 where the centenary of the Battle of Carabobo was celebrated (place where the last battle that gave independence to Venezuela was commemorated), the central courtyards were expanded, painted and planted in the gardens. Years later this majestic monument where it also has a dome with the painting of an outstanding Venezuelan painter such as Arturo Michelena where he established his work about the battle of Carabobo.
I took pictures of this colonial building from different points and I even took a panoramic picture so that you can see what is around it, which are buildings of long standing and historical value for our city 馃椇.
For the year 1881 to 1899 the great state of Carabobo was formed, where the municipality of Nirgua was annexed, from the current state of Yaracuy, so that the fact imposed respect against another state 馃挭 and placed Carabobo in a good position against the other states of the country, so the year is commemorated on one side of this imposing architectural work.
