El lugar donde hoy rige la gobernación, es un sitio antiguo que data de tiempos coloniales que antes se usaba como Convento o Beaterio de las monjas 🕍 años después en 1878 se inician múltiples modificaciones para que en esa edificación sirva la gobernación de Carabobo. Estas modificaciones estuvieron en manos del arquitecto Mariano Revenga, por cierto... el apellido Revenga era muy distintivo en Valencia. Dentro de los Revenga hubo médicos además que el ser reconocido por un apellido y gestión, te daba el privilegio de estar haciendo grandes cosas tal como sucede hoy en día.

Siguiendo con la historia de la arquitectura de la gobernación para 1921 donde se celebraba el centenario de la Batalla de Carabobo (lugar donde se conmemoro la ultima batalla que dio la independencia a Venezuela), se amplían los patios centrales, se pinta y se planta en los jardines. Años posteriores este majestuoso monumento donde también cuenta con una cúpula con la pintura de un destacado pintor venezolano como lo es Arturo Michelena donde estableció su obra acerca de la batalla de Carabobo.

The place where today governs the government, is an old site dating from colonial times that was formerly used as a Convent or Beaterio of the nuns 🕍 years later in 1878 began multiple modifications to serve in that building the government of Carabobo. These modifications were in the hands of the architect Mariano Revenga, by the way... the surname Revenga was very distinctive in Valencia. Continuing with the history of the architecture of the government for 1921 where the centenary of the Battle of Carabobo was celebrated (place where the last battle that gave independence to Venezuela was commemorated), the central courtyards were expanded, painted and planted in the gardens. Years later this majestic monument where it also has a dome with the painting of an outstanding Venezuelan painter such as Arturo Michelena where he established his work about the battle of Carabobo.

Para el año de 1881 hasta el año 1899 se conformo el gran estado Carabobo, donde se anexo el municipio Nirgua, del actual estado Yaracuy por lo que el hecho imponía respeto frente a otro estado 💪 y colocaba a Carabobo en una buena posición frente a los demás estados del pais por lo que el año es conmemorado en uno de los lados de esta imponente obra arquitectónica.
