Hello everyone! Today I bring you a special article dedicated to the Dissemination Day of Special Undergraduate Papers of my School of Education. I share this over here since it was a fruitful day given that all of us future teachers were presenting very interesting research and I would like to expose some of the ones I liked the most, as well as tell you what is the preparation for a presentation of this size. So, having said that, let's begin!
For this presentation we have a stand for each mention of the Faculty of Education (they belong to a department). To mention some of them; Plastic Arts, Music, Biology, Mathematics, Integral, Initial, Orientation, Physics, English, French, Social Sciences, among others. In this way, the first floor space was divided to locate each of the mentions in a specific place.
¡Hola a todos! El día de hoy les traigo un artículo especial dedicado a la Jornada de Divulgación de Trabajos Especiales de Grado de mi Facultad de Educación. Comparto esto por aquí ya que fue un día fructífero dado que todos los futuros docentes estuvimos exponiendo investigaciones muy interesantes y me gustaría exponer algunas de las que más me gustaron, así como contarles cuál es la preparación para una presentación de este tamaño. Así que, dicho esto ¡Comencemos!
Para esta presentación contamos con un Stand por cada mención de la Facultad de Educación (las mismas pertenecen a un departamento). Por mencionar algunos de ellos; Artes Plásticas, Música, Biología, Matemáticas, Integral, Inicial, Orientación, Física, Inglés, Francés, Ciencias Sociales, entre otras. De esa manera se dividió el espacio de planta baja para ubicar a cada una de las menciones en un lugar específico.
We started very early to set up our stand, the Plastic Arts, placing our posters and respective decorations. It was a very hectic atmosphere, with students running from here to there and family members and directors about to arrive, so our evaluation was also at stake. At about 10:00 a.m., we were finally ready.
For these types of presentations, there is a jury that evaluates both your performance with respect to the explanation of your research, as well as the appearance of your research. They go through each booth. Until they finally passed by our booth and there we defended our research wholeheartedly. The jury was happy and optimistic and congratulated us, some minor corrections but overall we did excellent. We could now breathe and be at ease so my friend and Lenke and I wanted to go and see the research of the other mentions.
Comenzamos súper temprano a instalar nuestro Stand, el de Artes Plásticas, colocando nuestros carteles y decoración respectiva. Se sentía un ambiente súper ajetreado, entre estudiantes corriendo de aquí para allá y los familiares y directivos a punto de llegar, por lo que también estaba en juego nuestra evaluación. A eso de las 10:00 a.m., finalmente estábamos listos.
Para este tipo de presentaciones, existe un jurado que evalua tanto tu desempeño con respecto a la explicación de tu investigación, así como el aspecto del mismo. Ellos van pasando por cada Stand. Hasta que finalmente pasaron por nuestro puesto y allí defendimos nuestra investigación con todo el corazón. El jurado se mostró contento y optimista y nos felicitaron, algunas correcciones menores pero en general nos fue excelente. Ya podíamos respirar y estar tranquilos por lo que mi amiga y Lenke y yo quisimos ir a conocer las investigaciones de las demás menciones.
We first stopped by the Stan of the French and English mention, with very good projects such as the possibility of implementing a translator more faithful to the translated texts. Then we stopped at the Social Sciences booth where I think it is one of the best research works. One of the girls in the mention presented a research paper where she talked about the Impact of Venezuelan migration during the years 2017-2019. It caught my attention as it is a topic that indeed needs to be addressed as it is a reality in my country, Venezuela.
The results of his research work (he used two questionnaires) showed that there is a talent drain, professionals trained in Venezuela and who are very well received in other countries (an investment of Venezuela and enjoyed by another country without having invested in it), a growth in the crime rate with respect to antisocials who come to other countries and therefore generate xenophobia by the citizens of that country to think that all Venezuelans are criminals. Definitely a very good research. Here I present it to you, her name is Luisa Herrera.
Pasamos primero por el Stand de la mención de Francés e Inglés, con proyectos muy buenos como la posibilidad de implementar un traductor más fiel a los textos traducidos. Luego paramos en el puesto de Ciencias Sociales dónde creo que es uno de los mejores trabajos de investigación. Una de las chicas de la mención presento un trabajo de investigación donde hablaba sobre el Impacto de la migración venezolana durante los años 2017-2019. Llamó mi atención ya que es un tema que efectivamente necesita ser tratado al ser una realidad de mi país, Venezuela.
Los resultados de su trabajo de investigación (utilizó dos cuestionarios) arrojaron que existe una fuga de talento, profesionales formados en Venezuela y que son muy bien recibidos en otros países (una inversión de Venezuela y que disfruta otro país sin haber invertido en ello), un crecimiento de la tasa delictiva con respecto a antisociales que llegan a otros países y generan por tanto xenofobia por parte de lo ciudadanos de tal país al pensar que todos los venezolanos son delicuentes. Una investigación definitivamente muy buena. Aquí se las presento, ella se llama Luisa Herrera.
Another research that I liked was done by the student Victor Rojas, from the same Social Sciences program. In his research work he presents an alarming reality; the growth of child violence during the confinement (quarantine) by Covid-19. Victor explains that thanks to these preventive measures (the closing of schools, recreational places and others) many children were left at the mercy of aggressive parents, being victims with no escape. The situation was addressed through a case study in a housing development in Valencia. This topic gives much more to talk about but I summarize his research in these lines.
Of course, I would also like to include one of the research works of my mention, that of my friend and colleague Naileth Jimenez who studied the possibility of applying playful strategies for the teaching and learning process of European Art History. I felt identified with this work because it is linked to my research, which I titled as Study of Learning Strategies for the development of Visual Culture in students of Plastic Arts. We both seek to find suitable didactic strategies to teach and learn a specific content. I wanted to investigate subjects such as aesthetics, semiotics, plastic analysis, art history, graphic arts, plastic arts, sculpture and others related to the treatment of the image.
Otra de las investigaciones que me gustó fue del estudiante Victor Rojas, de la misma mención de Ciencias Sociales. En su trabajo de investigación presenta una realidad alarmante; el crecimiento de la violencia infantil durante el confinamiento (cuarentena) por Covid-19. Victor explica que gracias a estás medidas de prevención (el cierre de escuelas, lugares de esparcimiento y demás) muchos niños quedaron a la merced de padres agresivos, siendo víctimas sin escape alguno. La situación fue tratada por medio de un estudio de caso en una urbanización de Valencia. Este tema da para hablar mucho más pero resumo su investigación en estas líneas.
Por supuesto, también me gustaría incluir uno de los trabajo de investigación de mi mención, como el de mi amiga y compañera Naileth Jiménez quién estudio la posibilidad de aplicar estrategias de tipo lúdico para el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de la Historia del Arte Europeo. Me sentí identificada con este trabajo porque se vincula a mi investigación, la cual titule como Estudio de las Estrategias de Aprendizaje para el desarrollo de la Cultura Visual en los estudiantes de la mención Artes Plásticas. Ambas buscamos encontrar estrategias didácticas idóneas para impartir y aprender un contenido en específico. Yo quise indagar en materia como estética, semiótica, análisis plástico, historia del arte, artes gráficas, artes plásticas, escultura y otras vinculadas al tratamiento de la imagen.
I must say that I feel very happy for the achievements we have obtained through so much effort, my classmates and I feel a great relief and finally the reward of a short rest. Because we still have a lot more to do. I share with you this last picture where I am celebrating with my husband with some good pizzas and a movie to close this day on a high note. Debo decidir que me siento muy feliz por los logros que hemos obtenido a través de tanto esfuerzo, mis compañeros y yo sentimos un gran alivio y por fin la recompensa de un descanso breve. Porque aún nos falta mucho más por hacer. Les comparto esta última imagen donde me encuentro celebrando con mi esposo con unas buenas pizzas y una película para cerrar este día con broche de oro.
