Hola que tal Hivers espero que estén muy bien. Hoy en la mañana recordé un taller de PNL (Programación Neurolingüística)que habían realizado en la empresa donde trabajaba anteriormente. Existían muchos problemas de comunicación y de verdad que el ambiente de trabajo era bastante pesado, por tal motivo el dueño de la empresa acudió a ayuda profesional para solventar dicho problema.
[eng]Hi there Hivers I hope you are doing well. Today in the morning I remembered a PNL (Neuro Linguistic Programming) workshop that they had done in the company where I used to work. There were many communication problems and the work environment was really quite heavy, for that reason the owner of the company turned to professional help to solve this problem.
Recuerdo que fuimos citados un día sábado al taller, fue realizado en la cede del grupo empresarial dónde laboraba. Me levanté ese día con mucho desánimo, tenía mucho sueño y quería descansar, no iba con la mejor disposición. Al llegar al sitio saludo a los compañeros de trabajo como regularmente lo hacía y tomo asiento para esperar el comienzo de la actividad.
[eng]I remember that we were summoned one Saturday to the workshop, it was held at the headquarters of the business group where I worked. I got up that day with a lot of discouragement, I was very sleepy and wanted to rest, I was not in the best disposition. When I arrived at the site, I greeted my coworkers as I usually did and took a seat to wait for the activity to begin.
De repente entra un señor, le calculé en el momento 60 años. Saludó a todos los asistentes y comenzó a montar todo su material de apoyo; sacó su lapto, unas folletos que tenía en el bolso y los repartió, un sobre blanco con con una figura adentro la cual sabríamos más adelante para que serviría.
[eng]Suddenly a man came in, I estimated him at the time to be 60 years old. He greeted all the attendees and began to assemble all his support material; he took out his laptop, some brochures he had in his bag and handed them out, a white envelope with a figure inside which we would later find out what it would be used for.
El especialista se presentó comentándonos un poco de su vida y carrera profesional para luego comenzar su ponencia. Tocó puntos sobre los roces que habían a nivel laboral, lo que los podía estar ocasionando y como se pudieran solventar, era algo bastante básico para ser sincero, tan básico que por dentro me preguntaba si de verdad había sido necesario ir a escuchar algo que podías encontrar en un vídeo de Youtube.
[eng]The specialist introduced himself by telling us a little about his life and professional career and then began his presentation. He touched on the frictions that existed at work, what could be causing them and how they could be solved, it was something quite basic to be honest, so basic that inside I wondered if it had really been necessary to go to listen to something that you could find in a Youtube video.
Creo que no fui la única persona en pensar eso, pues la cara de mis compañeros me lo hacían saber. De repente el ambiente se puso más tenso de lo normal. Las caras largas comenzaron a ser más notorias, comentarios de desacuerdo e impotencia comenzaron relucir de la nada hasta que todo se convirtió en un gallinero, todos hablando y quejándose mientras el ponente solo observaba sin decir nada.
[eng]I guess I wasn't the only one to think so, because the look on my colleagues' faces told me so. Suddenly the atmosphere became more tense than usual. The long faces started to become more noticeable, comments of disagreement and helplessness started to come out of nowhere until everything turned into a chicken coop, everyone talking and complaining while the speaker just watched without saying anything.
Cuando el salón quedó completamente en silencio nos mandó a colocar de pie y a respirar profundo durante 5 segundos, repetimos esto como unas 12 vecesy la verdad nos hizo sentir más tranquilos. Inició a hablar de nuevo e indico que realizar amos una actividad. Cada asistente debía escribir 5 cosas positivas y virtudes sobre si mismos y colocarlos en un bold.
[eng]When the room was completely silent he told us to stand up and take a deep breath for 5 seconds, we repeated this about 12 times and it really made us feel calmer. He started talking again and asked us to do an activity. Each attendee was to write down 5 positive things and virtues about themselves and place them in a bold.
Luego de que cada quien terminó, especialista revolvió el bold y le dio a cada uno un papel y debía adivinar quién era el personaje. Incrédulamente una sola persona logró acertar mientras el resto no acertó. En ese momento nos dimos cuenta que a pesar de convivir en nuestro sitio de trabajo éramos unos desconocidos.
[eng]After everyone finished, the specialist turned the bold over and gave everyone a piece of paper and they had to guess who the character was. Incredulously, only one person managed to guess correctly while the rest did not. At that moment we realized that in spite of living together in our workplace we were strangers.
Comenzamos a tomar conciencia con las palabras que nos iba diciendo el conductor del taller. En momento nos manda a poner el pie y a agarrar el sobre que nos había entregado anteriormente. Todas las figuras que estaban adentro de los sobres eran un círculo a excepción de una que era un cuadrado. Le tocó a una compañera y todos quedamos esperando a ver qué le tocaba hacer.
[eng]We began to become aware of the words that the workshop leader was telling us. At one point he told us to stand up and take the envelope he had previously given us. All the figures that were inside the envelopes were a circle except for one that was a square. It was a colleague's turn and we all waited to see what she would do.
El ponente le dice "ríete" a lo que ella responde que no tenía ganas de hacerlo; el ponente le dice que no importe que lance una risa. Penosamente accede hacerlo de manera forzada. A los segundos el ponente se ríe con ella y comienzan a hacerlo de manera natural, de repente sin darnos cuenta todos estábamos riendo a carcajadas.
[eng]The speaker tells her "laugh " to which she replies that she didn't feel like it; the speaker tells her that it's okay to laugh. She painfully agrees to do so in a forced manner. After a few seconds the speaker laughs with her and they begin to laugh naturally, suddenly without realizing it we were all laughing out loud.
Las lágrimas brotaban por nuestros ojos, pero no eran de tristeza, eran lágrimas de risa."Rían rían jajajaja rían como nunca antes, disfrute seño rían jajajaja" eran las palabras que nos decía el ponente entre risas mientras no parábamos de hacerlo. Ya nos día la barriga de tanto reír.
[eng]Tears welled up in our eyes, but they were not tears of sadness, they were tears of laughter "Laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh like never before, enjoy yourself sir laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh" were the words the speaker was telling us while we were laughing. We already had a bellyache from laughing so much.
Duramos aproximadamente unos 15 min en esa sesión de risoterapia e irónicamente luego de eso ya no se sentía nada de tensión, la vibra del salón era de felicidad. Comenzamos hablar entre nosotros, a debatir y culminamos almorzando todos de la mejor manera.
[eng]We lasted about 15 min in that risotherapy session and ironically after that we didn't feel any tension, the vibe in the room was one of happiness. We started talking to each other, debating and ended up having lunch together in the best way.
En seguida se sintió el cambio en la oficina, eramos un equipo de trabajo que se engranó a punta de risa, risa y risa.
The change was immediately felt in the office, we were a work team that came together through laughter, laughter and laughter.
La verdad fue una experiencia muy linda que recuerdo siempre de la mejor manera. Si tienen la oportunidad de asistir a una sesión de risoterapia háganlo, no lo piensen dos veces. Dicen que la risa sana, y yo realmente lo creo.
