El día viernes la ciudad amaneció desierta. Dado que la noche anterior y la madrugada de ese día se desarrolló el amanecer de feria víspera del día de La Chinita, la población de la ciudad durmió hasta finalizar la mañana. Nosotros nos guardamos temprano el jueves a pesar de haber recibido varias invitaciones. El primero que las rechazó fue éste servidor por una razón sencilla: una tía me está alojando en su apartamento y es diferente cuando pagas un hotel o te encuentras en tu casa. Mis acompañantes fueron desistiendo uno a uno. 
On Friday the city dawned deserted. Since the previous night and the early morning of that day was the dawn of the fair on the eve of the day of La Chinita, the population of the city slept until the end of the morning. We stayed early on Thursday despite having received several invitations. The first one to reject them was this server for a simple reason: an aunt is putting me up in her apartment and it is different when you pay for a hotel or you are at home. Lo más gracioso del caso fue lo que sucedió cuando dejé los chicos en el apartamento alquilado para pasar los días acá en Maracaibo: conduje hasta el edificio de residencias de mi tía solo para darme cuenta que habían montado una tarima patrocinada por una licorería ubicada al frente. Vale decir que la música se encontraba nivel estruendo y que nos fue muy difícil conciliar el sueño en esas condiciones. Cerca de las dos de la madrugada mermó el escándalo y sería cerca de las tres cuando pudimos finalmente dormir. En la mañana conduje de regreso al lugar donde los chicos se alojan y la ciudad parecía haber sido atacada por algún tipo de virus pandémico: desierta completamente y los negocios cerrados.
The funniest part of the case was what happened when I left the kids at the rented apartment to spend the days here in Maracaibo: I drove to my aunt's residence building only to realize that they had set up a stage sponsored by a liquor store located across the street. It is worth mentioning that the music was loud and it was tough for us to fall asleep in those conditions. Around two o'clock in the morning, the noise died down and it was around three o'clock when we were finally able to sleep. In the morning I drove back to the place where the kids are staying and the city seemed to have been attacked by some kind of pandemic virus: completely deserted and businesses closed.

Es así como al llegar a las instalaciones donde el stand se encuentra, nos dimos cuenta del poco público visitante. Salimos almorzar porque lo permitía el momento y comimos en una arena de gaming llamada Panther. Impresionante sala con luces láser, Pc's de última generación conectadas en red y tres secciones de consolas de juego retro. Toda una aventura para quienes deseen jugar. Llegamos a una hora donde no habían gamers y pudimos comer rápido y regresar al stand. El día se prestó para registrar a muchos nuevos hivers responsables de otras exhibiciones, los cuales se acercaron para averiguar sobre HIVE dada la poca afluencia de gente. Eso sí, luego de las cinco y media de la tarde, la ExpoZulia se convirtió en una marea de personas ¡Increíble!
Thus, when we arrived at the facilities where the booth is located, we realized how few visitors there were. We went out for lunch because the moment allowed it and we ate in a gaming arena called Panther. An impressive room with laser lights, last-generation PCs connected in a network, and three sections of retro game consoles. Quite an adventure for those who want to play. We arrived at a time when there were no gamers and could have a quick lunch and return to the booth. The day lent itself to registering many new hivers responsible for other exhibitions, who came to find out about HIVE given the small number of people. Of course, after half past five in the afternoon, the ExpoZulia became a tidal wave of people. Amazing..!

Finalizando el día dejé a los muchachos en el apartamento y continúe conduciendo al domicilio de un primo que reside en la ciudad y al cual no había visto desde hacía 25 años aproximadamente. Charlamos junto a su esposa sobre la familia, el trabajo y las cosas de la vida. Se extendió la charla con algunas cervezas de por medio hasta entrada la madrugada, momento durante el cual regresamos a dormir. Han sido días de trabajo, de reencuentros con la familia y con la ciudad. Nos quedan dos días quedan por reseñar y mañana nos espera la carretera de regreso, son nueve horas de conducción y esperamos sean sin inconvenientes. Nos leemos por allí.
At the end of the day I dropped the boys off at the apartment and continued driving to the home of a cousin who lives in the city and whom I had not seen for about 25 years. We chatted with his wife about family, work, and life. The chat continued with a few beers in between until the wee hours of the morning, when we went back to sleep. These have been days of work, of reunions with the family and with the city. We have two days left to review and tomorrow the road back awaits us, nine hours of driving that we hope will be without inconveniences. See you there.
