Es un ave rapaz de tamaño pequeño, apenas más grande que una paloma casera. Son excelentes cazadores y se alimentan principalmente de lagartijas, roedores, otras aves pequeñas y cualquier animalito que puedan capturar.
Personalmente, disfruté mucho de su presencia y traté en lo posible de tomar las fotos sin molestarlo. Es por eso que no se ven del todo nítidas; utilicé el zoom de la cámara al máximo para no acercarme demasiado y evitar que se fuera.

Vivo en pleno centro de la ciudad, por lo que ver este tipo de aves por aquí no es algo común. Es un recordatorio de que la naturaleza siempre busca su espacio entre el concreto.
En casa me sugirieron que le pusiera comida, pero prefiero no hacerlo. Considero que es mejor que aprendan a valerse por sí mismos sin depender de la intervención humana.
Reflexión: El contacto excesivo con las personas podría ponerlos en peligro, ya que no todos tienen buenas intenciones. Es mejor que mantengan su instinto silvestre y no se acostumbren a nosotros.
