Batman alma de dragon/Batman soul of the dragon (Reseña/Review)

Siete estudiantes hacen un largo viaje para encontrarse con O-Sensei, un maestro de las artes marciales que esparce su sabiduría con aquellos que llegan a su templo y se quedan indefinidamente. Lamentablemente este maestro desaparece y sus estudiantes toman rumbos separados, pero uno de sus estudiantes consigue información sobre un portal que su maestro dijo que nunca se debía abrir, ahora, con ayuda de los estudiantes restantes se unirán para proteger el deseo de su sensei, aun si eso significa que el caballero de la noche abandone su puesto temporalmente.

Seven students make a long journey to meet O-Sensei, a martial arts master who spreads his wisdom to those who come to his temple and stay indefinitely. Unfortunately this teacher disappears and his students take separate directions, but one of his students gets information about a portal that his teacher said should never be opened, now, with the help of the remaining students they will unite to protect their sensei's wish, even if that means the dark knight leaves his position temporarily.

Desde que finalizo toda una era de las películas animadas de DC con Apokolips war y empezaría una nueva, con una animación diferente e historias nuevas, he estado más al tanto de las próximas películas de DC sobre la Liga de la Justicia, pero siempre consigo alguna que otra de la que no había oido hablar y que veo con igual entusiasmo. En este caso el titulo me daba a entender de que seria una película sobre artes marciales, algo característico en el personaje de Batman que no tiene poderes.

No quise investigar sobre la película antes de verla para poder sorprenderme con lo que vería y todo lo que pude ver, fue una resolución, una aburrida, lenta película sin sentido. La película tiene animación antigua, desde los programas que antes tenia Batman en tv, al parecer fue hecha por el mismo director del mismo programa ¿Buscando nostalgia? Quien sabe, pero no me pareció una buena elección. La película transcurre contando poco a poco el pasado de los personajes mientras se reúnen, me pareció más una película de personajes secundarios que de Batman, casi que debían llamarla: Los tres karatekas y Batman. Batman apareció como Batman solo en dos ocasiones en toda la película, además de ponerlo como el peor estudiante del dojo, la esencia de Batman no estaba aquí, para nada.

Lo primero que me fije es en el personaje de Richard Dragón, tenia un parecido increíble con Bruce Lee, pensé que seria como un tributo o algo, pero luego de buscar información de la película, al parecer el personaje de Richard Dragón es realmente un personaje de DC, un pelirrojo de ojos azules que combate el crimen con sus puños, no veo porque tuvieron que cambiar la apariencia del personaje a la de Bruce Lee, usando las técnicas de Bruce Lee y tal vez usando la misma personalidad que Bruce Lee, para eso, simplemente fueran puesto un cameo de Bruce Lee en la película y ya estaba resuelto, como hicieron con las Tortugas Ninjas o Scooby Doo con Batman.

La película transcurre en los años 70's, es un ambiente diferente y la tecnología un poco rara en Batman, justo como seria si fuese en esa época, no vi problema alguno con la época, los personajes utilizados y puedo dejar pasar la animación antigua, pero no pasare la historia que no fue a ningún lado y que probablemente se quede así. Fue una historia nueva; escrita por el director cuyo nombre no recuerdo y que no quiero recordar, una historia que solo usa a Batman para llamar algo la atención porque no es utilizado como suele usarse, con chistes tontos que hacen ver la película tediosa, historias que se unen a la trama principal pero que llega a tomar mucho tiempo y le quita prioridad al suceso principal. Lamento que tenga el nombre de Batman, pero es la peor película animada de Batman que he visto.

Since an entire era of DC animated movies end with Apokolips war a new one began, with different animation and new stories, I have been more aware of the upcoming DC movies about the Justice League, but I always get some than another that I had not heard to talk about and that I see with equal enthusiasm. In this case the title gave me to understand that it would be a movie about martial arts, something characteristic of the Batman character who has no powers.

I didn't want to do research on the movie before I saw it so I could be surprised by what I would see and all I could see was a resolution, a boring, slow, nonsensical movie. The film has old animation, from the programs that Batman had on tv before, apparently it was made by the same director of the same program. Looking for nostalgia? Who knows, but it didn't seem like a good choice. The film takes place gradually counting the past of the characters as they meet, it seemed more like a movie of secondary characters than Batman, almost that they should call it: The three karatekas and Batman. Batman appeared as Batman only twice in the entire movie, aside from putting him as the worst student in the dojo, the essence of Batman wasn't here at all.

The first thing I notice is the character of Richard Dragon, he had an incredible resemblance to Bruce Lee, I thought it would be like a tribute or something, but after looking for information from the film, apparently the character of Richard Dragon is really a character from DC, a blue-eyed redhead who fights crime with his fists, I don't see why they had to change the character's appearance to that of Bruce Lee, using Bruce Lee's techniques and perhaps using the same personality as Bruce Lee, for That, they just put a Bruce Lee cameo in the movie and it was solved, like they did with the Ninja Turtles or Scooby Doo with Batman.

The film takes place in the 70's, it is a different environment and the technology a little strange in Batman, just as it would be if it were at that time, I did not see any problem with the time, the characters used and I can pass up the old animation, but I will not pass the story that it did not go anywhere and that it will probably stay that way. It was a new story; written by the director whose name I do not remember and do not want to remember, a story that only uses Batman to draw attention because it is not used as it is usually used, with silly jokes that make the film tedious, stories that join the main plot but which takes a long time and takes priority away from the main event. I'm sorry it's named after Batman, but it's the worst Batman animated movie I've ever seen.
