La delgada linea entre el humor y la agresión

Hola apreciada comunidad de Cervantes, hoy me he entusiasmado a escribir por primera vez en esta interesante comunidad, espero mi publicación resulte de su agrado.

A proposito de la celebración de la 94a. edición de los Premios Oscar 2022, es inevitable no hablar sobre lo que todo el mundo habla; el puñetazo que le dió el actor Will Smith al comediante Chris Rock durante la conducción de dicho programa.

Para los que no se han enterado aun, que no lo creo, a menos que no usen plataformas de redes sociales ni vean la televisión (se han visto casos) resulta que durante la animación del comediante Chrish Rock, el cual ha construido una larga carrera como actor, productor, comediante, entre otras cosas, con unas bromas muy chistosas y otras no tanto, hizo un chiste utilizando como personaje principal a la esposa de Will Smith, Jada Smith la cual sufre de Alopecia, para los que no se familiarizan con el término, es una enfermedad relacionada con la pérdida de cabello en todo el cuerpo, esta broma no fué del agrado del actor, el cual terminó levantandose de su asiento y dandole una cachetada al comediante en plena transmisión en vivo del evento.

Ahora, despues de darle tantas vueltas al asunto y escuchar opiniones de un lado y del otro, yo me pregunto: Se justifica este tipo de humor utilizado por el comediante Chris Rock?

Es bien sabido que los Oscar siempre se han caracterizado por escoger como conductores de su programa a actores de comedia con cierto nivel de sarcasmo, por no decir acidez, pero hasta donde llega el límite del humor? Es bien sabido que actualmente no nos reimos de lo mismo que hace años atras, pero creo que nunca se había cruzado, por así decirlo, el límite en lo que pudiera ser tolerante o no para las personas, mas si ese humor esta basado en una enfermedad en particular.

Si bien es cierto que el humor tiene muchas libertades, tambien debemos aceptar que el mismo está practicamente justificado por nuestra sociedad, en la actualidad muchos comediantes estan cruzando la linea de lo aceptable, es claro que no existen normas para ser comediante, un manual donde se explique lo que está o no permitido dentro de la sociedad, pero en este caso, creo que está mas que implicito que se cruzó la raya.

Con lo sucedido en los Premios Oscar y toda la polémica que ha desatado este evento, podemos ver claramente que los tiempos estan cambiando y que por mas libertades que pudiera tener un comediante en cuanto a su manera de expresarse y divertirse desde su punto de vista de ver la vida, las personas queremos ser respetadas y aceptadas, lo que está trayendo como consecuencia que muchos de estos profesionales esten siendo cancelados en eventos y lugares con mayor regularidad.

Si bien es cierto que la manera como una situación te afecte va a depender de tus valores, de una buena autoestima y de otros factores, no siempre nos encontramos en esa dinámica, razón por la cual el actor Will Smith terminó reaccionando de la manera que lo hizo.

Ahora me hago otra pregunta, independientemente de la broma que hizo el comediante Chris Rock, se justifica la reacción del actor al darle un golpe?

Sinceramente creo que NO, analizando la situación existen muchas maneras de haber dado un alto al comediante cuando hacia el chiste sin tener que llegar a la agresión, pienso que existen muchas maneras y recursos para demostrar la disconformidad incluso en el momento de la transmisión en vivo, porque para su buena o mala suerte Will Smith obtuvo unos minutos despues el premio a Mejor Actor y tal vez esa pudo haber sido una buena oportunidad para exponer su desacuerdo sin tener que llegar a los golpes.

Despues de leer esta publicación muchos estaran de acuerdo y otros no tanto, en muchos paises y mas en los latinoamericanos se maneja mucho la presión del hombre caballeroso, que nos protege, que nos defiende ante todo tal como lo hace el principe azul de los cuentos, todas queremos un hombre que nos cuide y nos de nuestro lugar, pero no con agresividad, al menos esa es mi opinión.

En el caso de Will Smith y su esposa, al parecer esa era la manera correcta de reaccionar, ya que incluso la principal agredida que fué Jada Smith, quedó totalmente opacada porque no reaccionó, no comentó, solo hizo un gesto a su esposo, el cual fué una señal clara para el defenderla de la manera que lo hizo.

Hello dear Cervantes community, today I am excited to write for the first time in this interesting community, I hope you like my publication.

With regards to the celebration of the 94th Oscar Awards 2022, it is inevitable not to talk about what everyone is talking about; the punch that the actor Will Smith gave to the comedian Chris Rock during the conduction of said program.

For those who haven't heard yet, which I don't think so, unless you don't use social media platforms or watch TV (cases have been seen) it turns out that during the animation of comedian Chrish Rock, who has built a long career as an actor, producer, comedian, among other things, with some very funny jokes and others not so much, he made a joke using as the main character Will Smith's wife, Jada Smith who suffers from Alopecia, for those who are not familiar with the term, is a disease related to hair loss throughout the body, this joke was not liked by the actor, who ended up getting up from his seat and slapping the comedian in the middle of the live broadcast of the event.

Now, after going through the whole thing and hearing opinions from one side and the other, I ask myself: Is this type of humor used by comedian Chris Rock justified?.

It is well known that the Oscars have always been known for choosing comedy actors with a certain level of sarcasm, not to say acidity, as hosts of their programs, but how far does the limit of humor go? It is well known that nowadays we do not laugh at the same things we did years ago, but I believe that the limit of what could be tolerant or not for people has never been crossed, so to speak, especially if that humor is based on a particular disease.

While it is true that humor has many freedoms, we must also accept that it is practically justified by our society, nowadays many comedians are crossing the line of what is acceptable, it is clear that there are no rules to be a comedian, a manual where it is explained what is or is not allowed in society, but in this case, I think it is more than implicit that the line was crossed.

With what happened at the Oscar Awards and all the controversy that this event has unleashed, we can clearly see that times are changing and that no matter how much freedom a comedian may have in terms of their way of expressing themselves and having fun from their point of view of life, people want to be respected and accepted, which is bringing as a consequence that many of these professionals are being canceled in events and places with greater regularity.

While it is true that the way a situation affects you will depend on your values, good self-esteem and other factors, we are not always in that dynamic, which is why actor Will Smith ended up reacting the way he did.

Now I ask myself another question, regardless of the joke that comedian Chris Rock made, is the actor's reaction to taking a swing at him justified??

Sincerely I think NO, analyzing the situation there are many ways to have given a stop to the comedian when he made the joke without having to get to the aggression, I think there are many ways and resources to show disagreement even at the time of the live broadcast, because for his good or bad luck Will Smith got a few minutes later the award for Best Actor and maybe that could have been a good opportunity to expose his disagreement without having to get to the blows.

After reading this publication many will agree and others not so much, in many countries and more in Latin America the pressure of the chivalrous man, who protects us, who defends us before everything like the prince charming in fairy tales, we all want a man who takes care of us and gives us our place, but not with aggressiveness, at least that's my opinion.

In the case of Will Smith and his wife, it seems that was the right way to react, because even the main aggressor, Jada Smith, was totally overshadowed because she didn't react, she didn't comment, she only made a gesture to her husband, which was a clear signal for him to defend her the way he did.
