I feel missed out, I've never had one of those comments. And yes, you're right, I saw that account name high up on the list of total comments. Just because they're not duplicate comments, doesn't mean that they're adding value to the discussion on chain. :)
I do agree about bots, I appreciate having my work curated or voted by a project, and often, for most hive users, a comment will be the only way they'll know that happened, or the inevitable "mention" in the round up post as to what each curator did on any given period.
I feel like those votes are already recorded on chain, so a comment that is juts "Thanks for posting, upvote from x for great content" is a bit redundant. I get excited that there's a comment on my post, then sad that it isn't something that can extend the dialogue about my work.
Unless of course, it brings other people to the work via that curation post, I guess.
