Today's sunset from the Siennicki Bridge over the Martwa Wisła. A similar view is in my profile picture. A few words about the bridge: The bridge was put into operation in 1912. On the portal m.trojmiasto there is an article from January 2021, in which there is information about the poor technical condition of the bridge, the foundations of which should be strengthened as the bridge structure collapses. I once read somewhere that before the Siennicki Bridge was built, people were getting to the Port Island by ships. I do not remember where I read that initially Pust Staw, which is located in the forest on the right side of the tram tracks leading to Stogi, was a more popular holiday destination for Gdańsk residents than the seaside beach.
