Sunset Over The Refinery
Hello fellow Hive! Throughout my life I have been attracted by sunsets, those intense colors at the end of the afternoon seem very beautiful and worthy of being photographed. This time I was traveling to my sister's house, specifically in the city of Punto Fijo in the Venezuelan state of Falcón, it is a peninsula that is characterized by being totally flat and arid, where the rains are almost non-existent and the sun is the main protagonist of each day. In my country, this city is famous for hosting the Paraguaná Refining Complex, which is considered the largest in the entire nation and the second in the world for its production capacities. In addition, this area is considered a duty-free zone, so commercial and oil activities are combined in the same place, it is in this way that the horizon is totally dominated by the large metal structures of the refineries located on the coast, which makes watching the sunsets a totally different experience from what I was usually used to it. I was able to capture this photograph while I was traveling by car on the highway and I liked it a lot since the intense colors of the sunset can be seen behind a large lit lighter which seems to give the impression that it was responsible for the colors of the sky.

Atardecer Sobre La Refinería
Hola compañeros de Hive! Durante toda mi vida me he visto atraído por los atardeceres, esos colores intensos al final de la tarde me parecen muy lindos y dignos de ser fotografiados. En esta oportunidad me encontraba de viaje en casa de mi hermana, específicamente en la ciudad de Punto Fijo en el estado venezolano de Falcón, se trata de una península que se caracteriza por ser totalmente plana y árida, en donde las lluvias son casi inexistentes y el sol es el protagonista principal de cada día. En mi país esta ciudad es famosa por albergar el Complejo Refinador de Paraguaná, el cual es considerado el más grande de toda la nación y el segundo a nivel mundial por sus capacidades de producción, además esta zona es considerada zona libre de impuestos por lo que las actividades comerciales y petroleras se conjugan en un mismo lugar, es de esta forma como el horizonte se encuentra totalmente dominado por las grandes estructuras metálicas de las refinerías ubicadas en la costa, lo cual hace mirar los atardeceres sea una experiencia totalmente distinta a lo que normalmente estaba acostumbrado. Esta fotografía la pude capturar mientras me trasladaba en carro por la autopista y me gusto mucho ya que se notan los colores intensos del atardecer detrás de un gran mechero encendido el cual pareciera dar la impresión que fuera el responsable de los colores del cielo.
