Former Titans' safety Blaine Bishop is one of the better players in franchise history and is in general a well liked figure by fans because after retiring he stuck around and seems to have made his roots in the Nashville area. Bishop is involved with local radio stations covering the Titans and is a high school coach in Nashville.
BUT Bishop did not become a respected guy for nothing. He was drafted by the Oilers in 1993 and is one of the rare individuals to have played for the Houston Oilers, Tennessee Oilers and finally the Tennessee Titans.
Bishop went on to play safety for the Titans for nine seasons, starting the majority of the time. Bishop was a physical, tough dude but was pretty well rounded as well.
Bishop was a four time Pro Bowler for the franchise including three in a row from 1995-1997 and then one last time in 2000 when he also earned his one and only Second-Team All-Pro honor.
Bishop played in 126 games for the franchise, starting 108 times total. He retired with 738 tackles, 15.5 sacks, 12 forced fumbles, 11 fumble recoveries, 5 interceptions and 1 pick-six.
Bishop went on to play one more season for the Eagles before retiring.
Won't be shocked at all if Bishop enters the team's Ring of Honor someday.
