After playing collegiately at the famous USC, defensive back Carter Hartwig was drafted by the Oilers with the 216th overall pick in the 8th Round of the 1979 NFL Draft. Carter Hartwig wore number 36 for the Oilers for six seasons from 1979-1984.
Primarily as a backup/depth guy for the majority of his career, Hartwig actually found himself becoming a starter later in his career, in years five and six. He started all sixteen games in 1983, and started 14 in 1984 before I assume he went down with an injury. That would be Carter's final season as a pro.
In total, Carter played in 86 games, starting 33 times. He finished his career with 9 interceptions and 7 fumble recoveries.
A Thrilling Game in America's Capital!
Ok, so I lost the first quarter by some mistake, but there is PLENTY of football to be seen in this one. It goes to overtime, so it's basically four quarters. The simple fact I got this game into OT is a miracle, the clocks hit zero and I tied it up! I was soooo pumped LOL. Seriously fun game for sure.
