Not mad about showing a backup QB some love!
Cody Carlson played college ball at Baylor University from 1983-1987 and in 1988 the Oilers drafted him in the third round.
Carlson proved to be a solid backup, serving as the backup to the legendary Warren Moon for seven seasons before retiring after the 1994 season.
Backing up Moon, Carlson went 10-4 in starts whenever Moon was out. That's pretty freaking solid for a QB2!
Carlson played his entire career in Houston and ended his career with 4,469 passing yards and 28 total touchdowns. Carlson was respected enough to have a nickname of Commander Cody.
I can't remember the last time the Titans had a steady QB2 like Carlson was, ever. Not for seven years straight, that's an awesome asset for a team. Thanks Mr. Carlson.
