Faced a top 100 player a few weeks back! Was an explosive battle for sure!
The player I faced used the Raiders and of course Derek Carr was at QB. This is the final time Derek will be on the Raiders' roster in Madden since he was released the other day.
Derek Carr is an extremely interesting player. I remember in 2016 when Carr was on top of the world. I personally considered him a top five, perhaps arguably even top three QB in the entire league. Just throwing dots and commanding the offense. He got injured super late that season and as a result, the Raiders had no hope that post season.
Ever since then, Carr has been average to slightly above average, I think? It's hard to read how hard he has fallen off considering the Raiders have pretty much zero defense and the organization in general has been kinda ran poorly.
Now that Carr is released and can test free agency, it's become a pretty hot topic as to where he lands.
The Jets, Saints, the 49ers, and even the TITANS have been rumored as possible destinations for Carr.
Personally I do not see a massive difference between Carr and Tannehill, so it could be a kind of pointless move for the Titans. If the Titans do want to sign Carr, I guess I would consider it a gamble. Perhaps the Titans as an organization will be better at building around Carr and Carr could go back to his 2016 self?
That seems like a giant risk and assumption though. Only way I'd like to see Carr as a Titan is if he's at an awesome price tag. I believe a more QB needy team would be willing to throw more money at Carr than the Titans.
Where do you see Carr landing? Would he be an improvement over Tannehill? He's an intriguing free agent for sure.
