Due to Joey Bosa not being able to play in this year's Pro Bowl because of an injury, Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Harold Landry III got the call to become a Pro Bowler for the first time in his career! A nice honor for a hardworking high level player. Now the Titans have two Pro Bowlers!
Landry may be a slightly underappreciated player for the Titans. Landry is not a jaw-dropping powerhouse necessarily but he is a consistent, well rounded producer at the outside linebacker position. He's been really clutch for the Titans at times. It's a bit difficult to read Landry's personality not only because I obviously don't know the guy, but also because Landry is not really an outspoken guy as far as I can tell, at least not publicly. I get the vibe that Harold Landry is a quiet hard worker that leads by example. He seems a little soft-spoken, at the same time his facial expressions and overall demeanor is a serious and focused one. He just seems like a guy that's all business, a professional.
Landry was drafted four years ago now by the Titans. Man time flies. Since being drafted in 2018 in the second round, #41 overall, Landry has just improved slowly each season. This 2021-22 season was his best one yet in a lot of ways. Landry recorded career highs in sacks, QB hits, total tackles and tackles for loss. Landry also started all seventeen games in 2021-22.
Harold Landry's Stats in his first Pro Bowl Season!
- 12 Sacks
- 75 Total Tackles
- 51 Solo
- 24 Assisted
- 14 Tackles for Loss
- 22 Quarterback Hits
- 1 Forced Fumble
- Started all 17 Games
- Helped the Titans reach 12-5 Record
I am so glad to see a humble hardworking guy like Harold Landry III get some mainstream recognition! There is a chance Landry may be lost to another team due to free agency, it's probably too early to really say. I'd love for him to stay in two-tone blue, but unfortunately it's not up to me and the NFL is a business, numbers game in a lot of ways.
If this ends up being Landry's final season in Nashville, I am so glad he became a Pro Bowler for the first time as a Titan!!
Thanks for a great season Harold. I'm sure no matter what happens this off-season he will be an effective top-notch player. At only 25 years old, he still has time to get even better!
What did you think of Harold's season?
