Keith Bulluck is a core part of my childhood, there's no doubt about that. One of my favorite Titans ever! Bulluck was drafted by the Titans in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft and would remain a Titan for the next decade.
As soon as I knew there was 53 days until the Titans season opener, I immediately remembered Bulluck with ease.
Guy was a TANK!
Before I watched football, or fully knew what football was, I remember seeing Bulluck in Madden, probably Madden 02. Man, life was simpler back then.
Anyway, I quickly learned that Bulluck wasn't simply another player I learned about in Madden, but in real life Bulluck was the real deal!
I mean, looking back, the guy was actually a freak! Dudes that big do not normally play a free roaming outside linebacker type of position. Bulluck was out there 6-3, and 235 pounds just sprinting around like a freaking gazelle. But when he met ball carriers he was a freaking monster!
It's shocking to me Bulluck didn't get more awards and accolades as a player, but he did get a few, and plus, his stats sort of speak for themselves, and he was very reliable in his career, so all in all the guy was just an awesome player and Titan.
Bulluck's Career stats!
- 2x First-Team All-Pro
- 1x Second-Team All-Pro
- 1x Pro Bowl
- 1,109 Total Tackles
- 811 Solo Tackles - 30th ALL-TIME in NFL History
- 21 Interceptions - 1 Returned For TD
- 72 Passes Defended
- 18 Sacks
- 15 Forced Fumbles
- 13 Fumble Recoveries
- 4 Fumbles Returned for TD - 4th ALL-TIME in NFL History
- Started every game from 2002-2008
- 170 Games Played - 138 Starts
I mean, that's a legit career! Extremely well-rounded! Bulluck played a single season with the New York Giants in 2010 before formally retiring with the Titans in 2012.
Man, I simply can't say enough about Bulluck, just a Titans legend through and through. Unforgettable player!
A quick fun game versus the Rams!! Madden 23 is quickly expiring...
