Ted Washington was a former outside linebacker who played for the Oilers for a decade from 1973-1982. Washington really had an impressive career for any player, but what makes Washington's career even more impressive is the fact that he was a 17th ROUND PICK in 1972!! That's insane. That's like being a super off the radar undrafted free agent today and becoming a ten year starter! There's only seven rounds in today's draft. Just nuts.
Washington would play his decade long career, entirely with Houston. He played in 128 games, starting 117 of those. He also played and started in 7 more playoff games
Washington would finish his career with 45 sacks, 7 interceptions, and 9 fumble recoveries.
His son would also go on to have a very good career in the NFL as a nosetackle.
Another Madden adventure for the history books. Against the Cowboys. Nothing new there, always a Cowboys user lurking.. LOL!
