Now this is the post I've been MOST looking forward to creating! I can't believe that the Titans' season starts TOMORROW!
I am soooooo hyped!

The Titans play the AFC South, the NFC East, the AFC West and the Bengals, Packers, and Bills this season. They have FOUR primetime games. Two Thursday Night games and a Sunday and Monday Night game.

Titans offensive depth chart as of 9/10/22
The Titans offense looks solid. There's a lot of unproven players at wide receiver, but there are veterans in WR Robert Woods and TE Austin Hooper to help hold things down, and help these young guys out.
As long as Derrick Henry is healthy and still as effective as he's been in the past, that will be the key and it will only help the younger players develop. As young as the roster is, there is only one rookie starting on the offense in right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere.
I'm hoping for big rookie seasons from WR Treylon Burks and TE Chigoziem Okonkwo.
Titans defensive depth chart as of 9/10/22
The Titans defense looks strong even with tragically losing Harold Landry III for the season. Every player on that defense is solid. Once again only one rookie is starting on this side of the ball, and that player is CB Roger McCreary. He's looked super competitive and pro-ready. Interestingly, he's above Titans 2021 first round pick Caleb Farley on the depth chart.
I'm hoping that DT BIG JEFF Simmons has an Aaron Donald like season in 2022.

Titans longtime elite punter Brett Kern was released just a few weeks ago, so it's SUPER weird to see a fella named Ryan Stonehouse listed as the starting punter.
Brett Kern was a Titan since 2009! As a Titan he was a three time Pro Bowl selection and was a two time All-Pro (1x First-Team, 1x Second-Team). Titans fans loved Kern. A regular, nice family man that did his job every Sunday.
Hopefully Ryan Stonehouse can do his job too. He does have a lot of potential. For a punter, there's some decent hype about him.
Kyle Phillips has earned the Titans staff trust enough to be the punt returner in year one, I hope he can make some plays there!
I have a lot of high expectations for this team. As long as Derrick can be Derrick, the Titans can function. The play action pass will be there. Behind Derrick the Titans have some quality backs FINALLY I believe.
Every media outlet, people and bots on social media, all seem to be doubting the Titans. This is nothing new. People seem to favor the Colts AGAIN in the AFC South despite the Titans winning the Division in two consecutive seasons. The Colts haven't won the Division since 2014 before my son was born....
This is why I love writing about the Titans. Even if I'm a small voice, I can be a pro-Titans source LOL.
The New York Giants go down south to face the Titans for week one of the 2022 NFL Season. The Giants haven't had a winning season since 2016, and they honestly seem as dysfunctional as ever. They have fights at training camp, they signed WR Kenny Golloday to an insanely lucrative contract, their pretty good running back Saquon Barkley can't really stay healthy, Daniel Jones is basically a Jimmy G-ish, meh type of player.
The Giants have gone through coaching change after coaching change. It doesn't seem likely they are going to turn this thing around anytime soon.

If the Titans lose, I'll be in borderline panic mode.
I have a feeling the Titans might SMASH the G-men.
I hope Nissan Stadium is WILD. This is a later afternoon game so it's like a mini primetime game, kind of. Less games for fans to pay attention to during the later time slot.
I AM SO PUMPED. UFC now, NFL games right around the corner!!!
