The Titans schedule was released a few days ago and I'm so glad it's here. Fans like myself clamor for any new NFL updates during the long off-season. The release of the schedule builds anticipation and it's another milestone closer to sweet September.
The Titans have two, sort of three, primetime games this season. One in the morning of October 15th in London, England versus the Ravens. Plus a Thursday Night game in Pittsburgh in early October and a Monday Night game in Miami in mid December. Split up pretty nicely.
The Titans media folk made a really awesome video with a lot of Titans and other celebs to announce the new schedule.
It will be interesting to start the season in always tough New Orleans. Will be interesting to see how Derek Carr looks in his new uniform after being a Raider for so long.
Then it's the Chargers who the Titans barely lost to last season when the Titans were desperate for a win. Will be cool to maybe get some revenge. That will be the Titans home opener.
Then the Titans visit Cleveland and the Browns. Hopefully the Titans smash Deshaun.
The Titans are then visited by another Ohio team to begin October in the always pesky Bengals. Bengals and Titans feel like a bit of a rivalry brewing. Well, the Titans can't exactly beat them lately but the games have been intense.
Next the Titans travel to Indianapolis to take on the rival Colts. Wonder how Richardson will look if he starts.
The Titans then face another rival in the Ravens. This game will be considered a home game for the Titans even though it will be played across the pond in London.
Week seven the Titans have their bye week. Pretty nice that they get their bye week after the London game.
That early portion of the schedule was pretty travel heavy, but since the Titans are located pretty much in the middle of the south, a lot of those games are probably short flights, other than London of course.
The Titans then get to stay home after their bye when the Falcons come to town on Halloween weekend. Former Titans OC Arthur Smith returns and it will be interesting to see how Desmond Ridder and Bijan Robinson perform. The Falcons have an interesting team for sure.
Then, in the Titans first November game, they visit Pittsburgh in a Thursday Night showdown. The Steelers are always a tough game and the Titans have lost to them a lot lately. Would be nice to beat them in Pittsburgh in primetime.
Next, in week ten, the Titans go to Tampa Bay and visit the new look Bucs with Baker Mayfield at QB, should be interesting!
Starting in Week 11, the Titans will face division opponents in five of their next eight games! This final half of the season will be critical!!
To start off that stretch, the Titans will visit Jacksonville. Ugh. The Titans were shamefully SWEPT by the Jags last season. Hopefully the tables turn this year once again and the universe will be correct once again.
Five of the Titans final seven games will be at HOME, which is great.
Week 12, the Panthers come to Nashville where the Titans will face rookie QB Bryce Young and former Colts HC Frank Reich.
To begin the month of December, the Titans will face the Colts for the final time in the regular season. Second consecutive home game.
Then in Week 14 the Titans have their primetime matchup against the Dolphins on Monday Night.
Then, very late in the season, the Titans face the Texans for the first time at home. Will be the first time the Titans face rookie QB C.J. Stroud.
Then, in Week 16 on Christmas Eve, the Seahawks travel from out west to throw down. Will be interesting to face Geno Smith in this new phase of his career.
On New Year's Eve, the Titans have their final away game in Houston. This will be the second time in three weeks the Titans face the Texans!
Finally, the Titans play their final game at home against the pesky Jaguars. This game will be played in January, 2024!
All in all it is a very interesting schedule. Not the most difficult one overall. Several of the toughest games are in the early part of the season.
Maybe I will get rich by then and I'll be able to see them play this season LMAO!!! The closest they really come to me is Pittsburgh and it's really not that close LOL.
I think the Titans can perform well with this schedule! It's all up to the players and coaches.
#TITANUP!!!
