A lot of things are happening leading up to the Titans season, which is fast approaching!
The Titans plan on wearing these SWEEEEET Oilers throwback uniforms in two home games this season. They look so good!
Some people believe that it's weird that the Titans wear Oilers jerseys and the Texans don't. Well to that I say, find something else to worry about or hate on!
It's simple. The Oilers moved cities and changed up the franchise in the 90's. Everything else about the franchise remained the same. Ownership, coaches, and players all moved with the team. Legendary players like Eddie George, Steve McNair and Frank Wycheck just to name a few, were Oilers and then moved with the team to Tennessee. Not only that, but the Titans were the Tennessee Oilers for two years!
If there wasn't a Houston team, nobody would care about the Titans wearing these. The Oilers are simply a part of the Titans' history, like it or not. It'd be more inappropriate and disrespectful if the Texans wore those jerseys!
Matter of fact I hope the Titans wear the Oilers jerseys against the Texans, and the Titans SMASH them!!!
Speaking of the Texans, former Texan DeAndre Hopkins speaks for the first time as an official Titan!! Hopkins will get to wear an Oilers jersey after being a Houston Texan, pretty nuts.
A part of me was expecting DeAndre to be sort of hyped to be a Titan. He almost seemed tired or uninterested at first in this interview. But I think that's his regular demeanor. He seems pretty chill and ready to work. He did crack several smiles and spoke well.
He seems pretty comfortable with his situation in Tennessee. He said he thinks that he can definitely succeed with Tannehill and he is willing to mentor other wide receivers as well, which is big for the Titans. The Titans WRs are all unproven, if DeAndre can help develop other receivers, that's amazing by itself.
I gotta see the results on the field, but Hopkins could be huge for the Titans!!!
All of this and training camp starts today! I keep hearing rumblings that Malik Willis has improved quite a lot since last season ended.... Hmmmmmm.... Wonder what that means for Will Levis?
I like that the Titans have two very young QBs behind Tannehill, it adds a lot of intrigue and potential Titans lore if you will. I think that all of that pressure can lead to something great!
I wonder who ends up being QB2 in Tennessee?! Wonder if they end up keeping all three QBs....
