Last week the Titans played their first preseason game against the Ravens, and while there was some bad moments like there always is in a preseason game, there was some good promising moments as well.
This week, the Titans face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Nashville, the team's first mini home opener!
The Bucs are a solid team to face in the preseason. The Bucs have been solid for awhile now, even before Brady arrived they weren't god awful. Of course just recently in February of 2021, the Bucs won the Super Bowl!
So all in all this Tampa team will provide the Titans a lot of valuable reps because not only are the Titans facing the Bucs later tonight, but for the past several days the Titans and Bucs have actually been practicing together!
These Titans receivers have been looking good man. Kyle Phillips killing defensive backs, and Treylon with a one handed snag!
Apparently, Titans rookie Hassan Haskins TRUCKED former Titan and current Bucs' DB Logan Ryan at practice.
I enjoyed watching Logan play for the Titans and everything, but man, after Logan's comments about the Titans fanbase a few months ago this was pretty great to hear about. A part of me wonders if Logan's comments were intended to get the Titans fans rowdy for the Bengals playoff game, but I don't care. Plus, that's probably not what he was going for. Logan didn't have to say that dumb crap he said. He just didn't. He tries to play it off and cool it down in the media, but it's pretty obvious he doesn't care in my opinion.
One thing that is kinda unfortunate for the Titans, and of course the Bucs as well, is the fact that the GOAT QB Tom Brady has been absent from Bucs camp for awhile now, and it's been a mystery as to why exactly this is the case. It would have been amazing for the Titans defense and the Titans as a whole to face the legendary QB.
In general, the 'Where is Tom Brady' saga has been pretty big NFL news.
I think Tom might be eyeing retirement a lot. I don't know how much his heart is with this Tampa team.
Practices between the Titans and Bucs ended with a little brawl. Love to see the competitive spirit, especially since this fight wasn't TOO bad from what I'm hearing.
I look forward to seeing Malik play his second preseason game. I expect he will be playing a lot once again. Hopefully we see some passes made from the pocket, and hopefully some of those passes are made to fellow rookie Treylon Burks!
Once again, I'm really curious to see how the Titans corners perform as well. The Bucs have got some serious weapons at receiver in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and new addition, and former Titan, Julio Jones. Arguably any one of those guys COULD be a WR1. So this will be a great test for the Titans secondary.
Sadly, I will be at work tomorrow, so I won't be able to catch this game. Oh well I REALLY need the cash, and as of now the Titans don't pay me LOL.
I will be happily keeping track of the game on my phone if I don't forget during the madness that is work.
