So I've definitely missed a few days in my countdown to the start of the Titans season, but I did a lot of them! Now we are just a single day away from the first game!!! Let's gooooo!
I still want to do a Titans vs Saints preview post, so I'll save a bit of excitement for that post.
QB Warren Moon had a very interesting football career. He actually began his pro career in the Canadian Football League and stayed there for six seasons from 1978-1983. Moon had a Hall of Fame career in the CFL and is considered one of the best players in league history. Moon accumulated an insane 6,000 yards from scrimmage in his final season in the CFL! He played for the Edmonton Eskimos the entire time and won FIVE Grey Cups with the team!
Warren Moon joined the Oilers in 1984 and would go on to be the franchise's most talented QB. There's an argument for Steve McNair but it's debatable. With the Oilers, Moon placed top 6 in MVP voting thrice, was a Second-Team All-Pro, and won Offensive player of the Year. Moon led the Oilers to the Playoffs six times.
After leaving the Oilers following the 1993 season, Moon would be named a Pro Bowler three more times. Twice with the Vikings and once with the Seahawks before eventually retiring in after the 2000 season.
Moon had an All-Time great NFL career that led him to the Hall Of Fame.
If you combine Moon's NFL AND CFL days, Moon has over 70,000 passing yards and over 400 touchdown passes. Moon's the only player in both the CFL and Pro Football Hall of Fame!
What a legend, wish I was alive to watch him as an Oiler!
