Of course I could have chosen Titans star running back Derrick Henry to represent twenty-two days until the start of the season, but I just wrote about him in my NFL rankings, and that would simply be too easy. Why not show Zeke Moore some love?
Zeke Moore was drafted by the Houston Oilers in the fifth round of the 1967 AFL Draft. He'd go on to play defensive back for the next eleven seasons as an Oiler before retiring after the 1977 season. While Moore's career was not as dominant as today's #22, he'd still have a pretty good career.
Moore earned All-Star/Pro Bowl honors in two consecutive seasons from 1969-1970. Moore retired with 24 career interceptions including a career high of 6 in 1970. He also had two pick-sixes in his career.
The stats from Moore's days are always a bit wonky, but funny enough, and impressively enough, Moore is credited as having a single sack and a single career fumble returned for a touchdown and they both occurred in his final season at age 34. In general, Zeke Moore was productive all they way until he retired.
He would retire playing in 145 games, and starting 102. Pretty solid, pretty lengthy career.
Titans vs 49ers - Madden 23
I'm attempting to divvy up the 49ers and Cowboys games as evenly as possible, between more unique matchups.
