馃 Hello fellow artists in the community, I would like to present a coat of arms I made for an exhibition on Ecuador.
I will explain the process and facts about this beautiful country.馃槃
I have always believed that art is not only about creating and communicating. It is also about learning new things to build a foundation for presenting your work.
馃挍 馃挋 鉂わ笍 Example: You paint a picture of poppies, but how many colors are there? What climate do they grow in? Who named them poppies? What meaning do they have in some cultures?

Siempre he pensado que el arte no solo es crear ,y transmitir . Tambi茅n es instruirte de nuevos conocimientos para tener una base a la hora de exponer la creaci贸n.
馃挍 馃挋 鉂わ笍 Ejemplo : Haces un cuadro de amapolas , Pero ? cuantos colores existen? , de que clima son ?, quien les puso el nombre de amapolas? . que significado tienen en algunas culturas .
Before explaining the image, I will write this.

Here is the information. It is part of South America, on the equator, and because of this, its territory is located in both hemispheres. It also borders Colombia to the north and (I found this interesting) to the south, and Peru to the east.

I made the coat of arms on a sheet of bond paper, since it was for an exhibition, and what can I say, that's the paper most commonly used for this type of school project.

Aqu铆 el dato . Es parte de Am茅rica del Sur, Sobre la l铆nea ecuatorial, Y debido a esto , su territorio se encuentra en ambos hemisferios . Adem谩s limita al norte con Colombia y al sur (me pareci贸 interesante ), y al este con Per煤.

Hice el escudo en una lamina de papel bond , ya que era para una exposici贸n y que puedo decir ,ese es el papel que mas se usa para este tipo de tareas de clases .
Here I used cold paint in earth tones, mixing them together to give the effect of an old document, as if it were from the time when Ecuador was founded. 馃
It is said that the formation of the republican state, after the failure of Gran Colombia (the dream that our friend Bol铆var had went down the drain 馃槄), led to the creation of the Republic of Ecuador on September 22, 1830
The first Ecuadorian constitution was enacted, which declared, among other articles, that the departments of:

馃挋Guayaquil

came together to form a single independent body with the name of the State of Ecuador.

Se promulg贸 la primera constituci贸n ecuatoriana, que declar贸, entre otros art铆culos, que los departamentos de :

馃挋Guayaquil
鉂わ笍y Quito
Se reunieron para formar un solo cuerpo independiente con el nombre de Estado del Ecuador.

Con sus majestuosas alas desplegadas y levantadas en actitud de vuelo, es s铆mbolo de energ铆a y esfuerzo.
Las plumas las pinte con una separaci贸n , de modo que no se unan una con la otra.

馃挍Sol Dorado: This means gold, which was very important to our first settlers. It is in the center, with the signs of the zodiac.
馃挋Chimborazo: The highest volcano, whose perpetual snows give rise to the Guayas River.
鉂わ笍Guayas River: It gradually widens until it occupies the entire lower part of the Oval. On either side are banks of lush vegetation, an expression of national agriculture.
馃挍Guayas steamship: It was the first to be built in South America, in 1841 in the shipyards of Guayaquil. The ship has a caduceus as its mast. The colors of the ship and its flag located at the bow are those of the national flag. (The rest of the ship is in the other photos.)

馃挍Sol Dorado: Significa el oro, como importancia para nuestros primeros pobladores, est谩 en el centro, con los signos del zod铆aco.
馃挋Chimborazo: El volc谩n m谩s alto, de cuyas nieves perpetuas nace el rio Guayas.
鉂わ笍Rio Guayas: Se ensancha progresivamente hasta ocupar toda la parte baja del Ovalo. Hacia los costados se incluyen orillas de exuberante vegetaci贸n, expresi贸n de la agricultura nacional.
馃挍Buque a vapor Guayas: Fue el primero que se construy贸 en Am茅rica del Sur, en 1841 en los astilleros de Guayaquil. El buque tiene por m谩stil un caduceo. Los colores del buque y su pabell贸n ubicado en la proa, son los de la bandera nacional. (el resto del buque est谩n en la otras fotos).

National flags: There are four, two on each side, front and back, which are grouped under the consular phases.
Oval: Its outline is a double brown border with joints of the same color at the top and bottom.

Some cold paints require up to three coats to look good, such as yellow and red.

Banderas Nacionales: Son 4 , 2 a cada lado, anteriores y posteriores, que se aglutinan bajo las fases consulares.
脫valo: Su contorno es de doble borde de color caf茅 con uniones del mismo color arriba y abajo.
Un dato :馃
Algunas pinturas al frio llevan hasta 3 capas para que se vea bien , como el amarillo y rojo .

Axe: it was part of one of the fasces carried by Roman lictors.
Consular fasces: Insignia of the consuls of Rome, symbol of authority and dignity. To help you understand better, do you see what looks like a chest or piece of wood tied in the shape of an X?

Hacha: formaba parte dejada de una de las fasces de los lictores romanos.
Fasces consulares: Insignia de los c贸nsules de Roma, s铆mbolo de autoridad y dignidad. Para que me entiendan mejor .(Ven eso que parece un cofre o trozo de madera como si estuviera amarrado en forma de equis ? )

Palm: Represents peace in the nation.
Ribbon: Silk ribbon.
Flagpoles: There are four, crowning each of the flags. They are inclined and have rhomboidal metal tips.
I didn't have any silver paint, so I had to use gray cold paint for the flagpoles.

Palma: Representa la paz en la naci贸n.
List贸n: Cinta de seda
Astas: Son cuatro y coronan cada uno de los pabellones, se presentan inclinadas con puntas met谩licas romboidales.
No tenia plateado y toco usar pintura al frio gris para las astas .

The laurel: Represents the glory of the nation.

El Laurel: Representa la gloria de la naci贸n.
I swear I tried to make the elements of the ship as best as I could. And I liked the result.
Here is the last of the elements to explain.
Caduceus: Crowned by two wings and surrounded by two snakes, attribute of Mercury. It is a symbol of navigation and trade.

Caduceo: Coronado por dos alas y rodeado por dos serpientes, atributo de Mercurio. Es un s铆mbolo de la navegaci贸n y el comercio.
