Hello, I share with you my latest drawing, a study from a reference of a girl wearing a nice dress and ballet slippers. It's a drawing made digitally in the Ibis Paint app. I tried to emulate pencil-on-paper work, since that's what I wanted as a result, for that I used a brush with a graphite texture. Also at the end I added some lights and some shadows to increase the volumes. This study took me about an hour and helped me practice everything I've been sharing so far on my blog: human face, female anatomy, and hatching. I hope you like my drawing, and I share the step-by-step process with you.
Hola, les comparto mi último dibujo: un estudio a partir de referencia de una chica usando un bonito vestido y con zapatillas de ballet. Es un dibujo realizado digitalmente en la aplicación de Ibis Paint. Traté de emular el trabajo de lápiz sobre papel, ya que es lo que quería como resultado, para eso me apoyé de un pincel con textura de grafito. También al final agregué algunas luces y algunas sombras para aumentar los volúmenes. Este estudio me tomó alrededor de una hora y me sirvió para practicar todo lo que he estado compartiendo hasta ahora en mi blog: rostro humano, anatomía femenina y hatching. Espero que les guste mi dibujo y les comparto el paso a paso del proceso.
I started by creating the base and structure of the body from simple shapes. I have drawn this pose few times, so it will be a bit challenging. It's not the best structure I've made, but it will work as a base. I tried to find points of tension and gravity in my reference and transfer them to my structure.

With my sketch and structure ready, I'll simply lower the opacity of the layer to start drawing. This is a great advantage of making drawings digitally: you can simply lower opacities or disable layers and keep drawing, which makes the workflow simpler and more visual.
Con mi boceto y estructura listos, simplemente bajaré la opacidad de la capa para comenzar a dibujar. Esto es una gran ventaja que tiene hacer dibujos en digital: simplemente puedes bajar opacidades o desactivar capas y seguir dibujando, lo que hace el flujo de trabajo más simple y más visual.
Now I will start focusing on the shapes of the face and the elements that compose it. Since this is a topic I am just beginning and don't fully understand yet, I can make many mistakes when it comes to proportions, so I have to erase again and again and keep trying.
Ahora sí comenzaré a centrarme en las formas del rostro y en los elementos que lo componen. Como es un tema que apenas estoy empezando y no comprendo del todo, puedo cometer muchos errores a la hora de las proporciones, así que tengo que borrar una y otra vez y seguir intentándolo.

With the general elements of my drawing placed and all the parts of the body, it is slowly taking shape.
Con los elementos generales de mi dibujo colocados y todas las partes del cuerpo, va cogiendo forma poco a poco.
I used different types of hatching to frame the darkest and deepest areas of the drawing.
Utilicé distintos tipos de hatching para enmarcar las zonas más oscuras y profundas del dibujo.
Using a solid brush, I also added areas of complete darkness and the details of the dress, the hair, the bow, and the ballet slippers; with an intermediate tone, the areas where the light doesn't reach the skin.
Utilizando un pincel sólido también agregué zonas de completa oscuridad y los detalles del vestido, el cabello, el lazo y las zapatillas; con un tono intermedio, las zonas donde no le da la luz en la piel.
As a final result, I obtained this study, which was a fairly comprehensive practice of what I have learned during this time. Additionally, I think the drawing turned out quite nice, and I am somewhat proud of the small advances and progress I have made.
Como resultado final obtuve este estudio, que fue una práctica bastante completa de lo que he aprendido durante este tiempo. Además, considero que el dibujo quedó bastante resultón y estoy algo orgulloso de los pequeños avances y progresos que he obtenido.
